Got this for Christmas. It’s working beautifully. It’s not quite as big as I was looking for, but I shed some stuff I didn’t need and it holds what I do. Nicely made, sturdy. The one I had before was “finer” looking but not well made and didn’t hold up. I’ve ditched the strap it came with for a belt I was using on the older one. People love the look.

Purchased this bag for my husband for Christmas. The craftsmanship is beautiful. The leather has softened over the last few months and it is wonderful. The bag is high quality and he loves it. He carries it every day. I had a small issue with a snap and the company was immediately available to assist. Outstanding customer service. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed a bag for my iPad

I finally realized I could get what I wanted when I looked in the men's bags--I want a crossbody, but I don't want a narrow little strap that cuts into my shoulder when I'm out all day, which I generally am. I save up my errands and do them at once since I live out. This purse is rather "deep and dark," I do have to just dig rather than look in, but that suits me fine, as I'm often doing that anyway, digging for something as I drive down some rural highway. If it wasn't so deep, it would be nicer to use, but it looks a lot nicer like this, and I've discovered that if someone hands me a stack of papers, I can fold them in half and stick them right in here and they stay nice until I get home (or a few days until I remember to take them out!). On this note, there is a nice flat zippered pocket on the back for smaller items that need to stay flat and not get messed up or lost. The leather is saddlebag-ish, which also suits me. I'm not fond of the two magnet fasteners on the front, having only one would be easier to operate, but these do work well (as opposed to my last purse which seemed to have the same fastener, but was it was hard to get it lined up so it would actually fasten) and if it only had one, that large front flap probably wouldn't lay well. My other thing is I hate buying new purses, usually it is hard to find what I want, so I want one that will not start looking ratty too quickly. The messenger bag look, made of real leather takes care of that problem nicely. I really like the look in that it's a utility look rather than a fashion statement (I am well aware that is a fashion statement as well, but you get my point!), and I think it would make a nice men's bag as well. And it would be sturdy enough to pack a pistol, but doesn't have a holster, so you'd have to add one.

After searching for satchel and seeing mainly messenger bags instead of what I was searching for, I came across this bag and placed an order. I was concerned if it will be too bulky and look at all feminine. I was so far not disappointed. It's quite a larger size for a satchel but if you're 6ft or taller, it will be a great size for you. I can store all my personal belongings in it, it has some pockets inside the bag to store my daily use items (phone, wallet, keys, headphones, etc), and it has a deep primary storage space to put a tablet or book into. I am pleased with this satchel and I hope that it will last me for a while 🙂

I returned one, and have the same issue with the replacement. The (I assume) oil tanning continues to rub off. The first one stained a white shirt. I scoured the reviews and posted a question, and concluded it was just a bad batch so returned for a replacement. Guess this one is from a bad batch too; I've rubbed and rubbed with soft white cloths to see if it will stop staining. It has not. This second one is not as well made as the first either. Raw edges left on the ends of cotton webbing part of the strap, other small issues that can be taken care of, but should not have existed to begin with. Both bags were much yellower than the picture. Admittedly color differences are to be expected but that was a disappointment in the color not being as pretty as shown. So far thanks to the napped nature of this leather, what makes it what it is, I cannot find a solution to try to get the rubbing off to stop. Looking like this will be a return too. A shame; it was just what I needed and I really like the look of it. EDIT: Five different leather shops were called, and the consensus was that oil tanned leather just WILL continue to rub off, nothing can be done about it. So, keep the oil tanned leather to boots, I guess. Too bad. It's a great look and great bag other than staining whatever it touches. That is not acceptable.

HOLY HECK! For the price of this I just knew it couldn’t be real leather! Boy was I wrong! Very nicely made and it’s REAL LEATHER! Love this bag so much! Great size. Fantastic price and just the right cross body strap length.
