Easy, effective, durable strap attachment
I have had this strap attachment on my guitar for quite awhile now, and I am completely happy with it. It makes removing the strap from my acoustic simple and quick for string changes and cleaning. One end of the loop slides under the strings just above the nut, then back through itself. It lays flat and stays out of the way. The other end is attached to my regular nylon web strap. No more irritating knots to look goobery near the headstock or untie and retie every time. The cord-lock piece is rugged, heavy plastic and snaps securely into place. When I need to remove the strap it's off in a jiffy. Love this thing! **Update 02-02-2015** I am still using this quick-release attachment on my Fender acoustic. It's still like new and working great. No problems or apparent wear; the plastic is still quite strong and the ends snap shut tightly. No worries about dropping the guitar Also, it holds the fat part of your strap up out of the way of your fretting hand. I've got a new VoyageAir acoustic and am going to order the exact same QR attachment for it. Great little piece of gear!

A good, inexpensive solution
Works as expected. It's very convenient if you're the type to take off the strap before returning the guitar to the case.

Helps with strap attachment
I have several ukuleles, and use one of these for each one. It makes it easy to attach the strap, with no loose lace ends. There si a clasp in the middle, to detach the strap, if you need to. Also, if you separate the parts, it’s easier to set it up. (Then, just reclose them) The connector seems sturdy- when it should be closed, it stays closed.

Almost perfect!
Background: I am a classical guitarist with back problems, so I use a strap to hold the classical playing position. Had been tying the strap to the headstock with a shoelace until I found this. The good: The product delivers what it promises, it's super easy to attach to the headstock with less interferance than some of the leather headstock adapters, and the quick release works perfectly. I have mine in a bit of an unusual configuration (tied to the top tuners) to acheive the position that I want, but this little thing is very versatile, you could even tie it to a strap button if need be. What to improve: The only nitpick I have is that I can't adjust the lenght of the string in the same way a shoelace can. It's not a big issue, but I had to adjsut my strap and seating a bit. In short: Very elegant and versatile solution to attach your strap to the headstock! Recommended 4.9 stars!

Simple design that works well and won't fail you.
I've used two of these on my acoustics for about five years now. Others have written about if this can be trusted to hold a guitar. That is just silly. Of course it could. I demonstrated this to a friend by wrapping this on a ceiling pipe in a garage and swinging from it. Holds 200 lbs easy. Haven't had a problem with them scratching the guitar head. I do let the guitar rest off the guitar strap where some will hold the guitar so the trap is taunt. That might make a difference. Length has been no problem either. If it was too long I would just have it wrap an extra time. This does allow straps that were slightly too short for me to fit effortlessly. The quick release is nice because I can get the strap out of the way as I'm putting it into the case. Some of my straps have metal parts that would dig into the guitar if it was just laying there. If there ONE thing I would do to change this is to give options other than black. White or red would be better.

Works Great!!
Bought a new Martin guitar and was cautioned by the luthier that leaving a strap on all the time may interfere with the n-cellulose finish. Tried a leather headstock strap for awhile but got tired of taking it on and off. Saw this and thought the lace shouldn’t bother the finish so I installed it and no problems at all. The clip is secure and easy to use! Very happy with it!!

I've been using a shoe string for decades, and only recently decided to see if there are any alternatives. I found this option and decided to give it a try. Installation is a breeze, and the buckle feels very secure. The buckle is similar to the typical chest strap buckle of a backpack, but more slick looking and narrow. Others here said that they struggle to open and close the buckle, but I've had no issues like that. Maybe they had defective units? Mine works great. It's easy to use and also feels secure. Assuming that they keep making these strap holders, I will never use a shoe string again.
