I did a lot of looking before I purchased a new flat iron, and I'm glad I bought this one instead of a pricier "prestige brand" iron. If you have fine hair like mine that is (very) wavy but not especially thick and/or hard to straighten, you might love this product as much as I do. (That being said, it might work just as well on thicker, hard-to-curl hair. I wouldn't know!) What I do know is that it's hard to find flat irons that have LOW temperature settings, which is what I needed. I never use settings above 300 degrees, and usually I use it down around 250 or even 210. If you don't need extreme heat, don't use it! Go as low as you can while still straightening effectively and save your hair the excess damage. Other things I really like -- the ceramic plates, which are much better for my fine hair type than titanium. I wanted ceramic with tourmaline for extra shine and these plates do the trick. They seem solid and of good quality, are very smooth, and so far have not scratched at all. They don't snag my hair, which is important. The digital readout is another great feature. I want to know exactly how hot my flat iron is, and not have to guess based on a dial setting that might get twisted around. I don't want to have to just trust that the temperature is where it should be. This flat iron has easy-to-use settings and heats up very quickly. The vibration feature is easy to turn off if you don't want to use it -- you just hit the power button a second time. I'm not sure whether or not the vibration makes a difference in preventing heat damage or straightening more effectively. It might, but it's hard to tell because it straightens perfectly without it. I kind of wonder whether the vibrating feature might contribute towards split ends though, since I know rubbing your ends together will do that. I turn it off half the time because I'm just paranoid like that. But if it is causing splits, I wouldn't be able to tell. It's been way too long since I got a haircut. tl;dr -- I got everything I could ever want in a flat iron at a bargain price!!

By far superior to any hair straightener I have used. One time was all it took to notice a huge improvement in the ability to move untangled hair (that was already straightened) to be able to get to the underside where my hair tends to dry curly then show in the back. It did actually, as stated take a fraction of the time required with other straighteners I have used. I have thick hair that dries naturally wavy if I do not use a hair dryer - even though I use a hair dryer, the thickness makes it difficult to get every hair completely dry near the back underside where it is thickest and this brand was so easy to maneuver to get to those places where it may not get fully dry. Tangles are not often an issue, yet, with this product I noticed right away the difference in how shiny my hair looked and the way it felt - smooth all over. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves easily straightened hair and I look forward to using it to create curls as well. This device is light weight! Heats up super fast! All around great purchase and definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money yet gets the perks of an expensive straightener as they use in salons !!!

I was a little skeptical after I read some of the other comments, but the power on/off, heat control switch is in a perfect spot. Those people that complained about that is just stupid. The other complaint about it not heating up is so not true…It gets the temperature it says. It does not pull your hair. It does not snag, it straightens, and it does an awesome job. Are use the Jibere tourmaline series for years until they stopped making it. I have tried them all, conair to chi to babyliss & ALL the expensive brands. I have quite a few for sale to be honest. This one by MONDAVA is my new flat iron & I AM SOOOOOOOOOO GLAD I TRIED IT!!!! I had even cut all my hair off thinking these stylists kept damaging it….but I think these other brands were causing the damage. I think I will go buy another Mandava just in case they do like Jibere and stop selling them. 110% SATISFIED. Oh & the length is standard size for whoever said in their review they thought it would be longer. AND THE EXTRA GOODIES YOU GET WITH THE IRON IS A WIN WIN!!!!

Does not work on my hair. I even let it sit and warm up. It would not straighten my hair. Got my Remington straightener out and that worked the way it should. I am not happy at all. Reading the reviews, maybe mine is defective? Idk but it doesn't work

I bought this iron in 2023. It’s now 2025 and it basically stopped working. It started when I turned it on and set it to 400 degrees. It would then shut off after a minute. Then it went to shutting off as soon as I turned it on. It was great while it lasted.

myself and my daughters use this on the daily and its a great straightener. We love the results we get from it. It really does a nice job getting our hair straight and smooth. Would I buy this again? yes!

My hair is very long, thick and curly. I have always had trouble finding a straightening iron that would straighten my hair quickly and that I didn't have to run it over my hair numerous times. I plugged it in, and within minutes it was ready to use. With my old straightening irons it took me about 45 min to get my hair the way I wanted it. There was still frizz and fly aways with the old one. It took me under 5 minutes to straighten my hair to perfection. I also like the digital tempurature display. It also looks like very high end. I am more than happy and pleased with how great it works. I will recommend to all my friends.

You know when you get your hair done & you leave feeling like you want to bring your hairdresser home with you, so you can have beautiful straight soft flowing hair every day (hands up - I have. Like seriously, do they all have a "secret"...lol). I have am not super hard on my hair but with regular blonde highlights, my hair does get dry, so to help offset the flat iron use, often times I will wear my hair up (especially most of this year). In the last few months, I really started noticing that my hair would not hold the smooth straight look even into a few hours of doing my hair - maybe hormones, aging all that good stuff (I am in my 50's). I changed my shampoo/conditioner, smoothing product - but very little really made a difference. So, here I am, although you may laugh/scoff, I have never paid $80 for a flat iron...lol. But, a few wks ago I was done with how unkept my hair looked - to the point that I was going to go back to a darker hair color. I popped onto Amazon & checked out this products info + reviews, I thought, the heck with it, I am doing it. Hands down - this has been probably the best $80 I have ever spent! 1. Heats up incredibly fast (don't even have time to change the laundry...lol) 2. The quality is outstanding - I am not going over & over my hair in the parts that "are drier/frizzier". A few passes & it's done 3. My hair is incredibly silky (like salon style silky). Nothing else has changed (all the products I have been using are months old) 4. My hair stays smooth, soft, silky all day (like 10 + hours)! It's crazy!!!!! I mean really crazy - bc the flat irons I have used, my hair would always somehow manage to start to frizz/tangle over the course of the day. 5. Bonus, the next morning, my hair is not tangled, knotted, feeling dry. I don't have to fuss with it at all. I run the brush through my hair, turn on the flat iron, touch up (I mean really that's it) the areas that need it and it's done!!! 6. I can get my hair done in under 10 minutes maybe even 5 minutes (hair is just a smidge past my shoulders). Not everyone is going to have the same experience & that's why we don't know til we know. But this has been a serious game changer for me & if I only would have taken the leap and not worried about $80 even 6 mths ago...lol!

This Mondava Pulse vibrating flat iron was purchased to replace my spouse's original vibrating flat iron (looks, & operates, exactly the same). She has now been using almost daily for over two months & she is quite pleased with it. Heats to specific temperature. Heats fast. Vibrates. Everything works as it should.
