19 Crimes Red Wine Box from South Eastern Australia, 1500ml (Packaging may vary)

**UPDATE AUGUST ‘25 - I still get this on S&S every month. In fact it’s one of my favourite red wines. I still stand by ever I wrote in the review. But would just like to say that the 1st box seemed to be a one off on the ‘air getting to it bit’ I’ve never had it last longer than a week! But it’s always been great. Even the sons still like it over most reds. Def worth doing on S&S if you’re a red wine fan…. Wasnt expecting much for a boxed wine. But holey schmoley it's a corker! Absolutely sublime taste, soft with and unexpected lovely sweet tang. Very very smooth and full bodied. I hate all that wine snobbery and generally prefer white to red as unless you spend a good wallop on red wines they often taste like vinegar to me. But this deserves all the 5 star accolades. Take this to a party and hog it all to yourself or share with mates who'll gaze at you in amazement after their first sip. I'd put this up along a £25-£30 bottle of wine and possibly choose this over the posh label (as recently did just that) Put it in a glass and offer to someone you want to impress and they'll never know its box red. In fact they'll think it's the £30 chateauneuf etc... The only slightly down point I'll mention (but it's not enough to knock a star off) is that the following day, on finishing off the box (!) with my sons, we agreed the air had gotten to it just a little and it wasn't quite as good as the first night. Having said that I've ordered it again and will continue to do so. Between 3 of us we'll enjoy it and currently at £14 a box it's a bargain. Yum.

This is perfect quality, the 19 Crimes bottled reds are very good anyway but this blend in the box is far better, its oozes taste better than the bottled equivalent, maybe the bottle version needs airing for hours but this out of the box is ready, its a fairly heavy Red great taste, fruits are tasty and packs a punch and i think is so smooth and not sharp as i find Italian wines, and excellent value.

Did what it was ment to do, I totally forgot my problems and woke up with a tattoo 😄. Considering the day wasn't going well, I see that as a very successful purchase.

Bought for Xmas 2024. Opened February 1st 2026! Very nice. Did keeping it for a year help? Don't know. Going to reorder but won't wait a year this time :).

Value for money!

I don't drink wine but I buy this for presents for other people. It was recommended by a friend who said how lovely and full bodied it is and so I started giving it as gifts. Everyone I give it to raves about it. I have bought the red wine and the Chardonnay by the same brand and both are very enthusiastically accepted with good feedback

I'm not normally a red wine fan but l tried this for a change....the taste is absolutely lovely....will buy again ..good value...
