First, let's talk about the cap. It is not the most conventional cap - (shake first!) you must pull straight up so that little dot in the middle is indented. Then flip the bottle over and squeeze out a pea size amount. With that said, it is a secure seal so it won't leak in your yoga bag! Next, the feel and grip. As you rub it into your hands (or feet - it works there too!), just rub your palms together. It will initially feel like hand sanitizer but as it evaporates you are left with a rosin-like residue after a few seconds. Go do your yoga thing!!! Grip is fantastic with no stickiness. You might get a little bit of white residue on your mat or clothes, but it wipes or washes right off. It works very well for hot yoga and easily lasts the whole class (1 hour at 90+degrees) so no need to reapply. Washes right off after class. Don't ask me how that works, but it does. Just get it and enjoy a no-slip yoga session!!!! One bottle will last for a few months - a little goes a long way!

As far as I can tell this is a good quality “non marking” liquid chalk. It works great and provides grip on my new (unbroken) prolite mat with very slight white markings after use. Sometimes I need to reapply after about 3-45 minutes. All this also applies to my other “non marking” liquid chalk. The Manduka does smell better. Overall a good purchase, very helpful with new manduka pro series mat. Pictured is the mat and my hand after use.

I bought this to use for yoga. It works very well for grip and is easy enough to wash off, so I’ll give the product itself a 4 star rating. However, the bottle it comes in is difficult to open and dispense the product. The cap is hard to pop open and close. After only a week or two, the product has already started to dry up and is impossible to squeeze through the cap. I have to remove the entire cap and dig it out with my fingernail……

Works great but leaves a white residue all over the mat and clothes

Love this stuff. Always use it when I get a new mat to help work in my mat. It gives me enough grip and can always build if I need to. Love the smell and honestly a great staple.

The only mat I've ever had that was truly non-slip was the first one I purchased from my yoga teacher, which is well worn out now. For later mats, I have used resin and gloves, both of which I dislike using. Then, I saw this product. WOW. Day one and absolutely no slipping even when I pressed hard in down dog. I only used it on my hands and it took very little and it dried down pretty quickly. After it dried, I didn't really even notice it being on my hands. Easily washed off after practice. I don't know how this would work in hot yoga and generally speaking my hands are not sweaty. Give it a try, though!

Ironically, i had to buy this because my hands were slipping on my new manduka mat. It has a pleasant smell and it dries out any sweat on my hands and makes me feel more confident that I won't slip. Just a dab does the trick so this little bottle will last years.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!! as a chronically clammy person, this product provides an amazing amount of grip for my morning yoga. not sure how it would perform for a hot yoga or extensive class (60+ minutes), but it is great for my daily at-home practice. Wipes off easily and doesn't stain clothes or mat. 10/10
