These candles are simply the best chime candles out there in terms of quality and color. The colors are vivid and beautiful, the candles burn well, and the packaging is good so your candles do not arrive broken and scuffed. They are a little thicker than some lesser quality chimes, however, so if you only have one kind of chime holder take note! I have three kinds of chime holders, and here is how they fit: 1. White chime candle holder (the sort that typically comes with your basic ‘make a wiccan’ witch kit - yes, that one!): fits very snug and does not go down all the way. Still, if you melt a little wax and drip it in there for stickiness, these candles will be fine for these holders (also true, of course, for the blue holders with the gold stars on them, which I also own). You could also shave off a little wax at the bottom without too much trouble to improve initial fit, but I don’t think this is necessary. 2. Clear glass ‘star’ candle holders - these candle holders are also frequently seen in online witchy shops and are used by witches. However, take note!!!!: these candles do not fit in these holders! Further, I do not think they could be safely thinned down enough to fit via shaving wax. If these are the only holders you own, get different holders, because seriously, you WANT these candles. 3. Purple cube candle holders with pentagrams on the front and little metal ‘cups’ to hold the candle - another sort of candle holder I have seen in many witchy shops. And hurray!!!! These candles fit perfectly in these holders!!! I owned, but had not used, these holders much previous to purchasing these candles because previous chimes I had purchased were too loosely fitting in these holders. But these holders and these candles were made for each other! So I will finally be able to use these holders. A perfect match and best of the three. I highly recommend these candles!

This brand is excellent for chime candles. Available in a variety of colors and very high quality. I'll admit 9-11 USD is a bit pricey for 20 (price depends on demand and color). They burn evenly and are out in 2-3 hours leaving very little mess behind. If you don't have chime candle holders, I suggest you use my trick to support the sticks on a fireproof surface just before lighting (you can dress in oil or whatever you prefer before doing this as long as your fingers aren't too slick afterward). Burn the bottom of the candle until it drips down a few drops of wax before the dripped wax dries plant the candle on top and hold it steady for several seconds. It shouldn't tip over or lean done this way. It's always better to have holders, but if you don't, that will work in a pinch.

These are good chime candles, but my issue is that they raised the price. It USED TO be only $12 for a 40 pack of multicolored chime candles, which made it a good value and cheaper than my local shop, but now they've raised it to $17 making it MORE EXPENSIVE than my local botanica. My local store only charges $0.33 per candle and I can choose the amount of each color I want, whereas with these, I not only am paying more, but am stuck getting colors I don't need. MegaCandles needs to get it together. Their prices have raised significantly on here over the last 6 months and i'm sure others have noticed. Its turning into a RIP OFF. I was ordering the multicolored packs over and over when they were actually a fair price, but why would I pay almost double the price of my local botanica, just to have an over abundance of colors I don't need and a LACK of the colors I use the most. Not ordering these anymore unless for some reason my local shops goes bankrupt.

These burn nicely for prayer. Smell a bit like crayons when stored because of the wax, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

These are perfect chime candles, exact size for my chime candle holders (1/2”). The colors are rich, just as expected. Buying 40 at a time made the price a bit lower, though they’re still higher than local sources. But, having a good quantity delivered to my door was worth the extra. Note: As these are chime candles, designed specifically for ceremonial or ritual use, they only burn about an hour. If you’re looking for long burning or emergency candles, these are not what you’re looking for. Also, they are smaller than standard tapers, and will not fit tightly into standard candle holders.

Deep red color. Solid. Big enough to fit securely in standard chime holder. Did not appreciate these until I tried to save a few dollars and saw the huge difference in quality. Returned those and repurchased these. Photos compare the two with these on the left. I store them in the freezer which extends the burn time.
