For such a simple thing to bring so much joy...
Oh my, after years of going for the usual keyboard choice, I can’t help noticing the mouse / keyboard pairing alternative from that company to this CHERRY product costs over 100% more at time of writing, if YOU haven't heard of CHERRY keyboard and mice before as well (I hadn't) man oh man are you in for a treat. Here's why: >>> Quality like you would not believe I can quite confidently say this is the Rolls-Royce of keyboards. Why? Because of its weight (the overall physical weight of it) It's not just a plastic piece of nonsense. This is built like a musical instrument, it's a pleasure to touch. I regularly write thousands of words a day. This makes a difference. Additionally, it's: >> Stable. The weight in its construction means it falls under your fingers like a piano. It's like it's carved in stone, part of your body. Does this make it easier to write? Hell yes, it removes the obstacle of having to cope with something ergonomically inferior. Will it make you a better writer? Well no, don’t be daft. It will help though. >>> Intuitive. Everything is where you expect it to be. The sizing is perfect, keys fall naturally under your fingers. No learning curve. There ARE lights on the caps lock and num lock keys, despite what other reviews here state. >>> It works. Plug the dongle in to a USB Post (the dongle is stored charmingly in the base of the mouse) and it works instantly. You Do have some AA batteries handy don’t you? You’ll need three. Two for the keyboard and one for the mouse. It's an absolutely beautiful piece of kit that's making writing this a joy. Sounds silly? I use a keyboard for over 12 hours a day. It's the only physical point of contact I have with the big old Desktop PC I use. As far as I'm concerned, it's like the tyres on your car. Dull things to look at and think about, but the only points of contact the car has with the road, so super-important. I made Madame hold this thing (THE KEYBOARD, stop with your fnarrr fnarrrs) because I can't believe it’s so heavy. For the price this is ridiculous value and absolutely the best keyboard I have ever used. I bought madame upstairs (my other half, she works upstairs) one of the usual suspect brands at twice this price a month ago, which just doesn't make sense. THIS should be the one nudging three figures or even over. It's simply outstanding. A few more, final things: *** AA Batteries - have some handy, none included. *** Beautifully packaged with NO PLASTIC - important to me. *** The mouse is awesome too and more ergonomically friendly than any of the usual-suspect competitors you might think would be the Logi (cal) tech choice. We'll see how it stands up in the workshop, where ingress of brass particles and lager (don't ask) are a hazard. I tell you what though, if I killed it by accident next month, I would buy another one instantly. This is absolutely NOT a review in return for a free product. You can spot those a mile off by the over-the-top, detailed step-by-step unboxing photos. This is the opposite, you can tell by the one picture of it in my dirty old workshop. It’s something I bought with my own money that is pretty much my purchase of the year so far and I am so delighted with it I want you to know, then you can get one and be delighted too!

Very nice quality
My previous Cherry keyboard and mouse have lasted about 15 years, half a dozen house moves (including two country moves), pounds of crisp, biscuit and sandwich crumbs, tobacco and cigarette ash and some serious fingertip abuse (typing). Admittedly, the old one had to be "serviced" increasingly frequently of late and the mouse could in the end click itself so I decided it was time for a replacement. The first thing that really impressed me about this new desk set was the packaging. Not a piece of plastic packaging in sight. Everything, including the batteries was wrapped in black tissue paper. What a fabulous idea, other manufacturers take note. The nano reciever is unobtrusive and actually works better than my old one did (no need it appears for line of sight with the set). The keyboard has a lovely action to it, the spring in the keys is a nice positive feedback to the fingers, the base is nice and heavy, the non-slip feet work superbly on my old desk. I like the feature that the num lock light goes to sleep if you stop typing for a few seconds, which is obviously a battery saver. No driver installation was needed, it was just plug in and hammer away. I did read that you can download software from Cherry to manage the feature keys but I haven't bothered with that. The mouse, looked a bit small in the pictures but it does fit nicely in my relatively large hand. My only very minor niggle, and this is most likely me rather than the product, is that the forward and back buttons on the side of the mouse are far too easily caught by my fat thumb. A little more height would have solved that problem and perhaps this would be a reason for me to download the software from Cherry to see if I could disable them. Overall though, the mouse sits nicely in my hand and does the mousey things a mouse is supposed to do with good positive pressure to click (unlike my old one but that was down to age and infirmity - the mouse not me - or perhaps both). The major selling point for me about this set was the quietness. Other keyboards I have used make a lot of rattling noise as I batter away at them, this one is whisper quiet. Amplified a little by the drawer under the desk top but still not enough noise to annoy my wife's bat like hearing. Why did I not score the five stars on the "Ergonomic"? Well to me, ergonomic is a shaped keyboard, this one is flat, just a slab, there are no ergonomics to it. But that means it takes up less desk space which is a good thing. So, having given it a pasting for nearly two days now I can say I am very happy with it, lets see if this set can survive the level of crumbs etc and see if it can outlive me.

great quality for the money
This replaced a Logitech model that had every conceivable key you could think of. I wanted something smaller, sleeker and more aesthetically pleasing. This fits the bill. It has a few multimedia and program keys, probably the right amount to keep it sleek. If feels great to type on and in my opinion is of very good quality although I have no others to compare. It is quite heavy and stays firm on the desk. The only gripe I have is that to program the keys (email for example) you have to have the program (Cherry Keys) running in the background otherwise it doesn’t work. This may be minor to some people but it would have been nice to be able to reprogram the keys directly. This is available on dearer cherry keyboards. The mouse is of straight design so is available for both right handed and left handed people. It is small but not so small that it doesn’t feel comfortable with your hand around it. The side buttons (forward/back in browser) are light to touch and you can sometimes press them by mistake. They are the only buttons other than the scroll wheel button. It responds and operates well and is perfectly adequate and useable even though it’s a simple design. You can program 3 varying DPI settings for varying degrees of sensitivity for your needs. For my basic office work I simply use the basic slower sensitivity so wouldn’t know how to advise on the effectiveness of this.

This keyboard has held up for a month and the keys still feel new. I use it 20 hrs a week and it has not let me down. The keyboard is comfortable for a non-wrist rest set up and I can type freely without fatigue. The keys. The scissor switches in this keyboard feel great and are a bit softer than your usual dell/hp office keyboard. They also are noticeably larger than your run of the mill keyboard which for me prevents me from fat fingering keys. The material honestly looks cheap, BUT I actually love the way it feels and the texture prevents my fingers from slipping. The sound and feel. The sound is quiet but not silent. Depending on how hard you type you can definitely ghost write a message to your friend about how bad the lady’s perfume smells in the adjacent cubicle or you can clack away to show your boss how hard of a worker you really are. The keys feel mushy but have a slight snap to them. It kind of reminds me of an almond joy, mushy until you feel the crunch of the almond in the center. Dang I wish I had one… ***If you decide to buy this keyboard and do not have a felt desk/key mat I highly suggest buying one. The keyboard sounds tinny and rattles with out it. Especially with the stands up. A soft mat will cure this horrific curse.** Overall. If you don’t want to piss off your coworkers with your RGB, tactile, thocky, keyboard masterpiece (LETS GO KEYCHRON) definitely get this keyboard. If you don’t really care about keyboards in general just get a $35 dell or hp and call it a day. This isn’t the best office keyboard nor is it probably the best in its class. However it is good, and I do enjoy using it while I work in the office. Did I pay an extra $10 because it says cherry? Yes. Did it also come with a really cool calculator button that saves me 10 seconds of time? Also yes. If you get it you won’t regret it! Well maybe..honestly I don’t but idk you do you.

Toetsenbord heeft de gewenste Belgische nederlandstalige Azerty layout. In tegenstelling tot vele andere aanbiedingen die een Franstalige layout leveren.

Every time I order a keyboard from Cherry in the past year I have to return it because they keep sending me wrong layouts. This one came in quertz layout. I only ordered it because the wired ones were European layouts. I just want one like the 2 that I have, exactly the same, why aren't they making normal US layout keyboards for the Stream series anymore? I can't even just get the US with Euro key one even.
