Rare Find! 2 Foot Downrods are hard to find.
Nice product. Seems there are not many 1/2 inch ID downrods around. The box stores don't have them. Amazon doesn't have many colors, so I bought this one and spray painted it with rustoleum... after hitting it with some medium steel wool. Looks great. Looked great as Brushed Nickel too but that wasn't my color. The 2 foot worked well on my 10 foot ceiling and an old ceiling fan that I moved. Needed to add on some wire. I actually soldered the connections because the 1/2 inch rod doesn't really leave much room for wire nuts. Works well, thanks for having it.

Performs as advertised
I was a little confused because these are threaded both ends and the 12" down rods that came on my westinghouse fans, are not. But just ignore the threads, they work fine. They are directional and with no instructions, I didn't notice at first that one end has a tiny threaded hole for the "ball" side. I was installing in a steel building / garage, such that the center fan in the row would be higher than the others, due to the roof slope. These brought them closer to the same height.

Excellent quality
The down rod with 3/4" ID is exactly what you need for installing a fan on a sloped ceiling using Kichler adapter. You cannot use extension down rods sold in Home Depot or Lowes as they have threading only on one end. This down rod is sturdy, easy to connect and looks like it a natural part of the assembly. The white color is often tricky, but this close enough to the color of both fan and adapter so it is practically indistinguishable. And by the way it is even cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes rods of the same size.

Nice, Functional, but Pricey.
Nicely finished, but perhaps a tad expensive, but I needed 3 of these to lower the fan height, in order to have the fan at a reasonable height in my high- ceiling steel building. If you need to assemble several of these to achieve a drop height, as I did, you will need connectors to couple these rods.

ck to see if brushed nickel or bright nickel finish
Down Rod was Bright nickel, not brushed nickel. Can't see the difference when in place but not what was described.

Great quo
This downrod was exactly what I needed. I use some sandpaper to rough up the surface and spray-painted at bronze to match my new ceiling fan

Downtube for Ceiling Fan.
New ceiling fan required 1/2" IPS downtube. 3/4' is more common and readily available from local DIY store. Dimensions as indicated. Very nice white painted surface. Length options are available.

Had ordered a Westinghouse industrial fan for a very high ceiling. This is stainless and very sturdy. Initially electrician and I were not pleased with large stickers on the rod.... I realized it had been very tightly wrapped in plastic (red face)

Good quality extension tube BUT why the hell wouldn’t it come with the necessary extension cable? My bad for assuming that as the recommended extension accessory it would be included. I mean, come on guys.
