Good all-around product for cardiovascular health and aging. A bit pricey, though.

So far so good! Got this to pair with my existing vitamin D.

This brand of K2 supplement in my opinion is very well balanced as it also comes with Vitamin D-3, which is essential to make them both work in synergy. I have never had any issues with this product as far as quality and can say that it has made a difference in how I feel with more energy and knowing that it helps with keeping calcium deposits out of the arteries. As my doctor recommended this type of vitamin along with diet changes to improve my health markers, I feel that this was a wise choice.

I've read hundreds of studies about Vitamin K2, and the studies using MK-7 almost invariably use doses in the range of 175 to 180 mcg. So it's surprising that those doses are rarely offered to consumers. Evolved Organics Vitamin K2 (MK-7) is one of only four supplements that I found with a sufficient dose and one of only three that are stand-alone MK-7. The others are produced by "Health As It Ought To Be", which offers both a synthetic and a natural vitamin K2 product, and LifeExtension offers a tri-K product that also contains MK-4 and vitamin K1. I was looking for a supplement without K1. That left me with little choice. Evolved Organics acquires its K2 from NattoPharma in the form of the patented product MenaQ7. MenaQ7 is available in three varieties; the one in Evolved Organics' product is the synthetic MenaQ7, called PharmaPure. It doesn't say this on the bottle, unfortunately, but I inquired with the company. Most studies have used MK-7 from natto or fermented soy, as that was the only MK-7 available for a long time. I was concerned about bioavailability of the synthetic, but I found one study that showed the synthetic to have favorable effect on undercarboxylated osteocalcin (ucOC), so I was willing to give it a try. I couldn't say how effective Evolved Organics Vitamin K2 is, as I did not test for ucOC levels before and after taking it. But I don't eat soy, and I am unsure of bioavailability of K2 extracted from flowers, so I'm happy to use the synthetic. The capsules are made of rice flour and vegetable cellulose -vegan and without unnecessary ingredients. This is a good product, but I hesitate to award 5 stars to a supplement unless I can measure the results. In terms of dosage, purity, and allergy avoidance, the Evolved Organics K2 is excellent. My four stars should not be taken to mean that this is not a top-quality product.

I'm very pleased with MenaQ7. This vitamin k2 product was just what I was looking for to add to my regimen to help strengthen my bones. I'm a former cancer patient & had head/neck radiation therapy years ago, & now that I'm older I'm experiencing the unpleasant effects of the damage that it has done to my bones. I needed a k2 that was of good quality and at a reasonable price-the dosage is ideal too. And thank you, thank you, thank you for not using those nasty additives that I always try so hard to avoid! I have used this K-2 for more than 90 days. I have had no negative side effects. The dosage of 180mg is higher than most, and I have researched the MenaQ-7 products and believe they are among the best. The research that I have read indicates that K-2 is effective in causing calcium to go into the bones and not into the veins and arteries. That is my goal. I believe this may also help reduce angina pains that I have occasionally. I have had none since taking this product.

The packaging is done well and the capsules are easy to swallow. Time will tell if K2 is the great vitamin that some think it might be. If I were a female (I am not) I would take it for sure, the evidence of preventing bone thinning is pretty strong. I take it because I still think the evidence is good that it will minimize calcification of arteries. Either way, there does not seem to be any downside other than the cost of the vitamin (which is very reasonable). This is the MK7 version which the studies seem to support.

I researched K2 supplements very carefully before deciding on TrueVantage. The form and amount of K2 in this supplement (MenaQ7) is the same as that used in studies of K2 supplementation for treatment of osteoporosis. Not all K2 supplements supply the180 mcg of MenaQ7 used in the studies I read. TrueVantange offers a good price and I've noticed no side effects at all and I can be VERY sensitive to ingredients in nutritional supplements. Could not be happier with this product so far. I'll be having another bone density check this summer & look forward to seeing if there is improvement.
