The way these lock in place is great. I'm using them for projects other than beds, but I'm probably going to be buying more.

Replaced missing brackets
Bought a mid century Danish style bedframe and was missing a piece with the bracket. Was not a perfect replacement and the screws that came with it protruded a little bit too much so they interfere with the sliding of the bracket. Be very careful to ensure the screws go in straight. In my case the original holes were not perpendicular to surface of wood which caused more interference.
