This pencil-set in a tin feels like really good quality - and currently a great offer price for a Faber-Castell item. Pencils deployed and enjoyed already - and do indeed sharpen without breaking. Admittedly only the pencils used thus far so the blending stick, sharpener and eraser not yet tried - but a nice inclusion in the pencil-set tin. Would make a thoughtful gift.

I only read one review with some negative experience. They lose some of the layers in dust form. Well I have found my old water soluble graphite and instead of paper blender. Technalo 779 is perfect to keep the markings on the paper and it is very good at reducing graphite shine too. Basicly I am doing burnishing with water color graphite and it has two benefits. I hope it helps others.

really good pencils

Love the pencils but this set is expensive for what it is. As others have said there are only 8 pencils so unless you want the 12B and 14B buy the set of 6. You can get cheaper and better erasers and sharpeners. Certainly cheaper smudging stumps. Having said that they sharpen beautifully to a long sharp point as in the photograph which is a 10B they layer and blend well and on frisk bristol board there is a slight sheen in the darkest areas Dissappointed in the contents but not with the pencils.

These pencils are in fact sheen free. However I feel they are a bit harder than standard graphite pencils. No breakage at all and great quality. Will be re- purchasing

I wanted to buy this product ever since I saw it on youtube. But it wasn't available in India for a long time. This pack must have been imported because the manufacturing is of Germany according to the box. I will update the review once I have used it for a while. Currently it performs as advertised i.e. has less sheen than other graphite pencils and is darker.

Allways the best supply company, wish it came with a box but quality. No doubt worth it and less expensive than buying the pencils one by one used them for 29 yearsa must have!
