Doesn’t support internet access with Ethernet cable through a hub
Used this cable to connect a laptop to a DisplayPort hub (which is connected to the internet by through a RJ45 Ethernet cable). This cable however does not support Ethernet internet data! Tried the old cable which I already had (but is too short in length hence the reason for buying this one ) and it connected to the internet just fine

5M cable too long for Astro camera
This just a guide to help others that may purchase the 5M cable.I purchased this for my Astro camera knowing that 16.5” cable is the max for USB3.0.Unfortunately it did not work, maybe my older laptop may not have be suitable or the length of cable. However I bought the 3M cable from eBay as this could be bought singularly, works perfectly.Very nice cable no issues with 3M, hope this helps someone who may buy for the same reason.

Fast data transfers, Flexible, Extra-long.
This cable works perfectly connecting my desktop computer to my Dell monitor's built-in USB hub.Although I didn't really want to buy a very long cable, I chose the 5-metre version because I had to zigzag across monitor arm stand, then under the table until it reached its destination and I wanted it to be long enough from the monitor to the PC.· The cable seems to be very well built with connectors that actually look pretty good (if that matters to you) – and it is flexible enough to get where you need them to go without issue.· The transfer speed was great on my first test with an external SSD. I've not experienced any noticeable reduction in processing speed.Highly recommended!

Superb, high quality and extremely fast cables
In the past i have bought the [much] more expensive Chrono line from Lindy and so i thought I'd try the cheaper Anthra type. They are connected to my high speed, high frame rate USB3 astronomy camera. This camera can throw gigabytes of data down this cable in a few seconds. Cable works perfectly.I'm very impressed. Great quality and value.

I can report no short circuits therefore safe to use
A warning to everyone: Cheap Chinese USB 3.0 can destroy your computer. I MUST POINT OUT THAT THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS CABLE.I purchased a USB 3.0 cable at a large electrical suppliers and the cable was claimed to be tested which was reassuring. I tried the cable in my 2nd PC which is an old X48 chipset PC with PCI-e v1.1 and 2 x PCI-e v2.0 x16 slots. I purchased a Delock 89359 2xUSB 3.0 & 2xSATA 6Gb PCI-e x4 card because the X48 PC does not include these features.I plugged the cable in and it destroyed both the Delock card AND the PCI-e x16 slot. I tested the cable, something that I now do with all USB cables, with my multimeter and found that it had a short circuit, 5V power to Ground which drew a very large current through the Delock card and PCI-e slot destroying both. The first thing that I did when I received this Lindy cable was to test it for any short circuits which might damage my main PC. It passed, no incorrect connections so safe to use. I have since used it to connect a Dual drive docking bay which I use to access my backup drives. It serves it's purpose perfectly. It's a shame that it is black coloured but you cannot have everything. The faulty Chinese cable was white BTW.
