The Pyrex Measuring Cup - Where Math Meets Madcap!
Ah, the Pyrex Measuring Cup, my kitchen confidant and partner in (culinary) crime. You know you're an adult when you get unreasonably excited about a measuring cup, but this isn't just any measuring cup – it's like the superhero of kitchen gadgets. I half-expect it to leap out of the cupboard in a cape, ready to save the day! Let's start with its transparency. It's so transparent; it's practically auditioning for a role in a magic show. I mean, you can see right through it! That's a game-changer, especially for those of us who've been traumatized by countless botched recipes because we couldn't tell a half-cup from a quarter-cup. With the Pyrex Measuring Cup, there's no room for confusion. It's like a culinary crystal ball. And speaking of magic, this thing can handle hot and cold like a champ. I've poured boiling-hot soup into it, and it didn't flinch. I've also used it to measure out icy-cold milk for my cereal, and it didn't crack under the pressure. It's like the Mr. Freeze of measuring cups – unflappable in the face of extreme temperatures. But here's where it gets really interesting: the Pyrex Measuring Cup is virtually indestructible. I once dropped it from the top shelf of my kitchen cabinet (don't ask how that happened), and it just bounced like it was made of rubber. I'm convinced it's made from the same material as Captain America's shield. I half-expect it to come with a warranty that says, "Guaranteed to survive the apocalypse – and maybe a small asteroid impact." Cleaning it is a breeze, too. I've accidentally left chocolate sauce, tomato soup, and who-knows-what-else stuck to it for days, and a simple rinse and swipe with a sponge, and voila, it's like new. I'm pretty sure Pyrex cups are immune to the concept of "stains." Now, let's talk about those easy-to-read measurements. They're like the font of wisdom for my culinary adventures. I can finally tell the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon without consulting the Rosetta Stone of recipes. In conclusion, the Pyrex Measuring Cup isn't just a kitchen tool; it's a kitchen superhero. It's transparent, temperature-resistant, indestructible, and incredibly easy to clean. It's like the Swiss Army Knife of measuring cups, except it doesn't have a corkscrew or a toothpick – but it doesn't need them because it's already mastered the art of making cooking feel like a magic show. If you want to level up your culinary game and have a blast doing it, this cup is your trusty sidekick. Just remember to give it a superhero name when you're not using it – it deserves it!

Best measuring cup!
I had one of these for over 50 years, but had to replace it because the line markings became too hard to read. Love the new one.

This Pyrex measuring glass is solid, won't break like my thin glass one; good price & it will last
I like the thickness of this Pyrex measuring glass; it's much more durable the the thin measuring glass I had that cracked when I bumped it on something. I like the 2 cup size - big enough for everything I want to measure and a good size to be able to tuck out of the way in a cupboard or on a shelf when I'm not using it. The measures are in ml, cups and ounces - useful for whatever recipes measure in. The handle is strong Pyrex like the measuring glass, and makes it easy to pick up. The price was just a little more than the thin glass ones, but this one will last so much longer.

It's a measuring cup that measures -- pouring is a bit messy
It measures. It has held up fine. I believe that the measurements are correct given tests comparing with other measuring devices. I've used it in the microwave and dishwasher and it held up fine. I do find it gets messy when I pour with it, but as I usually use it for water, that's not a big deal. All in all, solid and gets the job done, if not perfectly.

Kitchen essential
These glass measuring cups are fantastic! We’ve had the larger version for over 10 years, and it’s still in great shape, so we decided to get the smaller size as well. They’re durable, easy to read, and hold up beautifully over time—definitely a kitchen essential.

Quality product doesn’t shatter
Only by Pyrex, it’s the only one I know that doesn’t spontaneously shatter like some of the glass wear. Durable affordable quality product for the price. 2 cup is is great for medium size jobs

It's almost the same as our 40 year old cup, but not quite
In the early 1980s, we bought a Pyrex 2-cup measuring cup and used it daily to boil water for tea in the microwave until the other night when our cat had the Zoomies. She knocked it off the counter and onto the tile floor, shattering it into a thousand pieces. We have been trying to find a replacement in the stores for the past few years, as the lettering had faded, and we thought it was no longer manufactured. The newer Anchor measuring cups that we have bought as replacements tend to "dribble" when you're pouring, whereas our old Pyrex does not. So I was thrilled to find the old Pyrex measuring cup on Amazon. It's very shiny, the lettering is easy to read, and it arrived on time in excellent condition. The only downside is that it, too, is a "dribbler." Unless you pour very, very slowly, the spout dribbles down the side of the cup. The cup looks the same as our old one, but apparently, the pouring spout has been "upgraded" over the years and doesn't work as well as it used to. That's the only reason for the 4-star review. I will have to pour much more slowly from this new cup, or I will have to clean up the counter/stove after using it and losing some of the liquid.
