When the tumble dryer started making a grinding sound my partner checked and this was the part that had been worn down. For just over £3 the tumble dryer is working perfectly again with u tube tutorials that made it very easy.

Do not buy this, very cheap but did not last long.

This part was for a Hotpoint tumble dryer, it was due its annual service( hoover out the unit and clean out the rear 3 bar/coil heater matrix ), The bearing is a bronze type, over time the weight of the drum elongates the bearing downwards resulting in a inner drum not being level to the front, this will result in a loud squeak as the drum rotates. Ensure you unplug the tumble dryer, they is no need to remove the back of the tumble dryer, simply remove the split pin remove the small screw (Allen key), remove the bearing cover (it just pulls off), remove the old bush (bearing), clean the shaft with wd40, then slip the new bearing on, you may need to push the drum upward to ensure the bearing pushes on, then put back the small screw, then bearing cover, then new split pin or use the old one if you do not have one, saves you around £80+ if you feel confident, its an easy job ,if you can change a plug fuse you can do this.

Over time our drum had ground a groove into the rear bearing making it noisy. This replacement fit perfectly for our Hotpoint Aquarius TCFS93B. Seems to be made to the same quality materials as OEM at a better price!

Lasted 2 weeks and wore through. Waste of time, have rebought an actual Hotpoint one now for a few £ more.

Fitting it today 8 November 2024 1630 time will tell if it lasts 4 weeks or 8 weeks or even longer,Only time will show the results and I’ve used ball bearing grease before and after and this tumble dryer does get used daily .

A part for my tumble dryer known as a teardrop rear drum bearing. To me it,s not a bearing but it works, and probably would hold well for 6months. The description of this being a bearing for the Dryier, its a professional good term used to charge a customer. It is just a small bit of steel, with holes in the right places, Very simple to fit.

Extremely poor quality, only lasted 4 weeks before needing to be replaced. Bought a genuine Hotpoint bearing which has been going for 6 months no problem. It's true what they say, "Buy cheap, buy twice".
