OluKai v Chaco. Who wins?
Very comfortable. I’ve have several pairs of Chaco’s & OluKais. They are very similar in some area & different in others. 1 Similar in arch, while a bit more stiff with the sole. 2 The sole on the OluKais are more cushioned and seem to bend more easily. The Chaco soles are more firm and less flexible. While both have well supported lugs. 3 They stay on. Both have a strap the is far back enough in the foot where, like most flip flops, they do not require a lot of toe curl to hold on to the flip flop so you don’t walk out of them. 4 I try to remain disciplined enough to walk a few miles each morning. There is nothing like a summer morning walk in “flippies.” I can’t make it a mile in the Chico's before I start blistering. I don’t have an issue with OluKais. The straps are softer and the soles more flexible. In consideration of the pros and cons, to me, the winner, given the ones I have tried, and my personal favorite is OluKai! Every pair if tried is more comfortable than other shoes or remaining barefoot and more comfortable than anything else I can remember wearing. Size is true for me despite the reviews saying they run small. I think it has something to do with your toe length. They look great. Fit great. Day one, during the break-in. I walked over a mile in them without issues. These are pretty fancy flippies, so I’m not likely to do a long walk with them. I’ll wear my older OluKais for that, but these are a joy to wear. Another 30+ miles this week in my Ohana OluKais this week. OluKai knows and gets my feet and earned my business!!! Sorry Chacos. My feet have spoken!?

Snug at first, but break in quickly
These felt snug and a bit uncomfortable at first, but I could tell they were well made so I gave them a chance. Within a few days of regular wear they started to break in and form to my foot. They're now significantly looser than at first and are one of the most comfortable flip flops I've owned. I also wear these out kayaking when I'm getting in and out of the water and they've had no problem holding up. They also dry quickly.

This is now my brand of Sandals forever
It is unbelievable how much better these sandals are compared to every other sandal I have ever owned. I've had everything from Reef's to Flojo's and I even tried the supposedly tough Rainbow sandals (which delaminated in 2 months). The comfort and quality was immediately apparent once I slipped these bad boys on. They are very fashionable as well, and I didn't notice the imprint on the inside of the straps until mine arrived, a very nice touch of tropical. They fit my foot perfectly and the leather base is extremely soft and supple. I am looking forward to wearing these for a long time and I will be buying my wife a pair for Christmas.

Super comfortable but $100 for flip flops??
These are nice sandals that are holding up well even after subjected to water, dirt and mud. But $100 for these seems pretty expensive for what they are

Olu "wow" Kai
So far so good. Just got these. When I first put them on, I thought they were a little hard and a little tight. It didn't take more than an hour for them to turn into what I think might be the best "flip-flop" I've ever owned. The contour of the base is wonderful and gives some good arch support. At first it seemed as though it was a touch too hard and intrusive, however as I noted above, within the hour I realized this is just what my feet needed. This version doesn't have any bouncy cushion like many flip flops do. I now understand (at least for me) that is a very good thing. I feel more stable in my walk. I doubt I'll ever try on a different brand. Olukai hit the ball out of the park!

Good quality.
Nice leather, very comfortable, seem very well made, expect they will last. Fit was just right. I've had other brand sandals that kind of sink in and misfortune your feet if you wear them for a couple hours, these are solid and don't do that, stay in shape and comfort.
