AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8-core, 16-Thread Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler, up to 4.6GHz

This is a fantastic processor. With 8 core, hyper threaded, the performance is simply unbelievable. The integrated graphics means you can use this for gaming as well - blows the Intel integrated graphics out of the water right up to the current Alder Lakes. It's also way more power efficient than the current Intel generations. I got this for a new build miniPC that I built using the ASRock DeskMini X300. Very easy to build, but bear in mind the fan that comes with this processor won't fit on the board. Installed 2x8gb crucial DDR4 ram and a crucial 1TB NVME SSD. Then installed Fedora 38,and restarted, and the boot up speed is so fast! You're at the log in screen in about 4s! Very pleased and would recommend highly.

Amazing graphics on the chip and easy to fit too

good processor, fastest AM4 processor with integrated graphics you can get, superseded by AM5 processors with graphics but these need the AM5 board and are noticeable more expensive. If you want decent graphics and you do not play high end games and do not want a separate graphics card, this could be suitable for you if you have an AM4 board.

My desktop PC failed and I decided to rebuild rather than purchase an assembled machine. It's used for programming, document creation and control of electronic devices, so I did not need high graphics performance, but I did want a fair amount of processing power. After some research, I decided to stick with AMD and go for the eight core 5700G. The build was easy using an ASUS motherboard and it came up into the BIOS on the first attempt. I booted from the disks transferred from the old PC and it booted into Windows without difficulty. It was a bit slow initially because it was configured for different hardware, but after half an hour of tweaking in the BIOS and Windows, it is more than fast enough for me and seems stable. I'm very satisfied with it.

Upgraded from 2600 to 5700g. Problems were nvidia card went missing in windows 11. Network stopped working. Solutions were enabled network stack in the bios. Forced integrated graphics in the bios. Enabled 4g driver in bios. Enabled rebar in the bios. I would download amd driver before as well. Then had to install nvidia driver with total reset options. Then installed amd driver. Without forced bios got 182 error as hardware disabled. With integrated graphics forced on then amd driver installs. Tested both gpu working via stress test. Use windows graphics setting option to change which gpu used for Firefox and it works. Driver reset thx to jaz2cents.

I've currently got it running minecraft really well and adjusted some settings to run watchdogs 2 without issues either so I'm glad I don't need a GPU for a while. Bought mainly for the intergrated graphics but haven't noticed much performance difference between my old R5 1600 and the R7 5700G. Installation was straightforward after watching a video and updating the BIOS I was good to go! Idles around 45ish with AIO cooler.

Fitted to my new motherboard. Uses my exiting ram at exact match for processor after mild tweaks. 8 core makes a difference.

Ik denk ik probeer AMD eens een zeer efficiente cpu zonder twijvel met grafische chip. tot 4k 60 hz twee schermen loopt ook goed maar wat schertst de verbazing na wat heen en weer stunten met 2 980 pro's die ik nog had geen ondersteuning voor pci4 zeer eigenaardig voor een nog geen half jaar oude cpu. had ik natturlijk gelezen op twekers maar ja vergeten natuurlijk. toch blijf ik bij AMD want intel schiet niet op de laatste tijd komen ze eindelijke met een "betere cpu" met 125 watt en weet ik hoeveel cores en met 1700 pinnnetjes voor een niet te betalen moederbord meer dan 1000 voor het zelfde moederbord wat ik hier ook heb in 1 van mijn bouws maar dan 690 chipset en de genoeme 1700 pinnetjes in de socket die chip is niet beter maar boerenbedrog.

This CPU is equivalent of Intel i5 11th gen. Installation is super easy and the stock cooler is fine. This is budget CPU so older games can run just fine. 16 threads are helpful on desktop. Heat generation is not high as I get 86 degrees celsius when running all 16 threads on 100% since I have a cabinet with 6 fans. Little expensive during this hardware shortage due to AI boom.
