Good tool and good value.
I pondered this purchase for a while. I finally pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. I use and Android device and keep it in my front pocket. The tag registers just fine through my case and the pants. The tags themselves don't seem to be as fragile as some have reported. Perhaps that was an older production? Setup was simple. Like anything else, you have to get in the habit of registering the club before you hit. It keeps score for you pretty easily. A great benefit is that data. It is enlightening to see how far you really hit the certain clubs. I found I was a little longer on some clubs than I thought and the club adjustment has helped me play much smarter with my wedge selection. I am not a low handicap golfer so all help is welcome. The phone app itself is really good. I used it without the tags before anyway. The premium upgrade adds to the value as well with all of extra data and club suggestions. I have recommended to a few friends already.

Easy to track your shots and play each round!
The tags are really easy to install on most standard sized grips. The app is very easy to use and has useful course maps that help you quickly measure your shot distances, distance to the green, distance to hazards, etc. You never need to charge the tags- just setup once with the app and go out & enjoy the course. It takes about 1-2 minutes to label each club brand/name/grip that you use, so it's best to do at home for a stress-free experience. Make sure NFC is on when you use the tags and GPS is on when you're on the course. Integrats great with a Samsung phone and Samsung watch. Depending on your phone model & case, you may need to remove the case to have the tags properly read on your phone. Practice a few times when you're assigning the tags to find the right spot on your phone for NFC and remember to use the same spot when you're on the course - you will be much happier with the experience! Once you are familiar with the process, it's super quick and easy. The statistics on the app for each club are really great to understand club gapping, especially the more rounds you play.

Nice product but
This basically just records which club you use and the gps location. When you then tag a different club it assumes that is how far you hit the ball. If you miss tagging a club it doesn't know, so can end up with a 500 yard shot. WOW! It summerizes your distance for each club. nice features. But the tags seldom worked with my phone in my pants. Despite what the videos show. It was a pain to have to take my phone out and fumble to get the tag to read. I just did even try after a few holes. I was there to play golf. So I bought a waist holder for the phone. Now I use my left hand to turn the phone and right to put the club, at the correct angle, to read. The sound when it reads is barely noticable so you have to look at the screen. Doing this I got the reliability to about 90%. But the other 10% is a pain. Also it uses battery. Iphone X fully charged was at 25% after 3 hour round. So nice product, but you have to fiddle with itl and have your phone fully charged.

When they work they are great.
I really like using them, a couple of recurring problems. 1. Occasionally it starts recording shots all over the score card, and unless you are watching the phone you miss it and then have a mess to clean up. 2. I have had these less than a month, already two have broken off the base. I found one and reglued it back on, the other got lost on the course. They give you a couple of extras, but at this rate, with only 2 weeks of golfing gone and 2 breaking off, they won't last the year. I emailed them for advice, or a way to help baby them (should I tape them down for instance), but they never responded to my query. When it works it is great. They seem to work great for the first few holes, but then the performance degrades (slower to read the NFC in the app, moves holes mid hole, etc.) My guess is there is some sort of memory leak in the app (I am using Android), which this behavior would suggest considering it is designed to be running for 4-5 hours, which is difficult for apps. It is also mildly annoying that if you get a call or text while the app is running it is almost impossible to get it, the app does everything it can to avoid letting you move to another app, even if it is to answer a call. Maybe they are just trying to protect my golf time. I would give it 5 stars if they didn't break off so easy and if the app was more reliable. ------------------------ Update: ok, the day I put out the review I get an email from them saying they will replace the two broken tags no problem. They have a 90 day warranty for this type of thing they say and those tags must have just had some bad glue. I will continue with using them and hope the app matures. Interested to see how the golfpad link works. I do dig the app and the ease of recording data.

Golf sensors
The Golf Pad Sensors are a fantastic tool for golfers looking to improve their game. They’re easy to install, lightweight, and pair seamlessly with the Golf Pad app. Shot tracking is automatic and highly accurate, while the app provides real-time GPS and detailed stats for performance analysis. The sensors have long-lasting batteries and don’t add bulk to your clubs. The app’s features, like strokes gained and a virtual caddie, are excellent for reviewing and refining your game.

** UPDATE ** Seller sent me 3 extra tags at no cost after giving feedback that one tag broke while installing. Super fast response. Terrific product and excellent customer service. 5 Stars Tip: Do not force the tag on the grip if you feel there is resistance. **Original Post I've been using the GolfPad App for sometime now because it had an app that was compatible with my Samsung watch. I wanted to get these tag to make tracking my shots even more convenient. I love how low profile these are compare to pictures I've seen of the Arccos or Garmin tags. They are very light, and as such, I feel the plastic is fragile. I was able to install them on all of my clubs except for one. I didn't get half way into screwing it in until the tag broke off the screw. I tried to super glue it back on, so I will have to see if that will hold. Other than that, I have tested these on my phone and they work great. You can have you phone locked, with the screen off and the app will still scan the tag when you touch it. Great product! Plus their player dashboard on the website is great for a larger view of your stats! To the seller: Is there a way to replace just one tag?
