No one could tell the difference
I lost my mic while moving. I was going to buy an original replacement from Kingston who makes HyperX, but they were out of stock. I bought this one and everything on it works the same as the original. It sounds the same AFAIK and it fits properly on my wireless version and the red light mute indicator functions as expected.

Doesn't work with Hyperx Cloud 2 Wireless
Bought this to replace the mic in my HyperX Cloud II wireless headset, didn't end up working. It fully plugs into my headset, but then the mic does not work at all. I've found that if I have it slightly plugged in and at a certain angle, it will work, but I was expecting this to plug in all the way and work. Waste of money
