This is the Real Thing!
I tried many harissa's before learning of this one, which I believe is the benchmark harissa against which all others should be judged. Made in Tunisia, it is thick with just enough oil to give it moisture but without overdoing it. There is plenty of heat generated by this very flavorful condiment that goes with just about everything, though I wouldn't recommend eating it alone unless you want to set fire to your mouth. You won't be disappointed!

Best Harissa out there!
I have tried many brands, and this is head and shoulders the best. Most complex flavors, thick texture which can be mixed with mayo or cream to make a delicious sauce. It's very spicy but mellows over time.

Great depth of flavor
This harissa is perfect for so many recipes which need heat and character.

Much ado about nothing.
More about dried tomatoes than peppers. Some heat, without the accompanying character of chiles. In terms of flavor, it's neither traditional nor authentic. Texture is coarse, could even be described as gritty. Highly generic, and therefore -highly overpriced.

Just magnificent
Years ago while living in France I became enamored of North African couscous, served generally with some harissa on the side, to spice things up. I am so happy I have found this quite excellent version of harissa. Though I don't often make couscous, I use this in combination with soy sauce as a flavoring for broiled or smoked fish (salmon), and it is just the perfect combination.

Not authentic
Strong tomato taste instead of pepper Look like more tomato spicy than real Harissa ☹️
