The shoehorn is telescopic it is marked with grey circles. Once extented or shortned to the desired length, you need to give it a twist to lock it. Failure to lock it properly as in some reviews will cause it to collapse when used. It is very well made, and it's sturdiness is great. It extends to a good length and the size folded is great for travel, handy pouch included. My mum finds it comfortable to use, as she struggles to put her shoes on a bit now. The bending resistance is great it is sturdy when used, even with a bit of leverage applied. My mum has bought a second one as shown in the photo. It compares extended to folded size. I would definitely buy again (which we have🤣🤣)

This is a great help with my hubby’s shoes. Helps him to be independent while he waits for a new hip. Made to a good spec and love the idea of it being easy to use as its telescopic so can use sitting or standing, no bending. Has its own case so can pack away for holidays too.

There is a knack to using this product to avoid it collapsing on you. Pretty obvious really because turning one way locks the length and turning the opposite way releases it. As long as you don't twist the shoe horn the "wrong way" when using it it stays firmly at the set length. I have found it very good after hip replacement for my shoes/slippers. Adjustable length works well when sitting/standing provided you you use it correctly. Will be used at home and is small/light enough to take away with me.

Brilliant! Sturdy quality, very smooth, nice long extending handle, folds neatly into bag. Putting on shoes is so much easier with this.

Best shoe horn I ever owned, Longer than the rest, better shape than the rest to easily slide out of shoe....

It does a good job but the handle has no cap so there is just a large open screw hole at the top. Whilst this does not affect the performance it makes it seem a bit cheap. It is not possible to see a picture of the handle top on Amazon so it's unclear if this is as intended or a manufacturing error. Nicely packaged and has a handy fabric bag for travelling, and arrived promptly.
