Q: will this feeder keep starlings away from the suet?

I’ve found only an upside down feeder and plain suet (starlings don’t like either) will keep them disinterested.

Yes, it is worth the price. Squirrels cannot get to the suet, like they do in any other suet feeders. Squirrels were eating a whole suet cake in a day before I bought this suet feeder. The suet lasts longer, I only put half a cake in each side, exclusively for the birds, they no longer compete with the squirrels.
