one size versus standard?

This hat is "adult size" and stretchy. In our experience, it stretched from a size 6-1/2 to a 7 3/4 or so (based on various colleagues who purchased these hats for a party).

How do I take good care of this hat & clean it so that it could last for a long time?

I keep mine in a box in which I have some other such costume accessories. i can't imagine wearing the hat so much that it would become very dirty, but I suppose if it did, I'd take it to the cleaners rather than risk trying to wash it even by hand myself.
