BUG Lightweight Women Laptop Tote Bag for Work, Casual Handbag for Travel Beach College Teacher

I have been looking and looking for the best dupe for the Longchamps LePliage bag for travel. I wanted the Longchamps look and "french girl chic", but with a few functional upgrades. This bag has exactly what I am looking for, AND for a crazy cheap price. I want a luggage trolley strap, and a cross-body strap. Non-negotiable. If this bag is packed full, I do not want to have to carry it only by the shoulder handles. Those are two features that the original La Pliage does not have, which is why I could not bring myself to pay so much for a bag that won't function how I need it to. This Bug bag is surprisingly well constructed. The fabric is quite robust and the stitching looks up to the task. I like that the interior is a light color, white with pale blue stripes, another frenchie touch that looks cute and elevates the style. The handles are plenty long to carry over the shoulder. Almost too long, for me at 5'4" but they work. The size of the bag is just right to be a real tote bag, that you could put shopping purchases into or stash a sweater and water bottles when out and about Paris. Some bags are too small to haul, but too voluminous for just a day around town. This one hits the sweet spot, size-wise. I also like that there are enough organizational pockets that make the bag functional as a work bag or huge purse, and that the padded laptop sleeve is off to one side and doesn't divide the interior of the bag in half. Although I have not used it as such yet, I believe it would have no problem going under an airplane seat. I gave it a good spray with camp dry waterproofer before my trip to keep it dry and clean. C'est parfait!

Love this roomy bag! It has traveled a lot with me! Has a laptop sleeve and an interior zip pocket. An outer zip pocket and a sleeve to hook it on my rolling bag. My purse fits in it with a jacket and reading materials for the flight. It fits under the airline seat. And best of all, it’s light.

I work in healthcare and carry alot of items in my purse, and have been on the search for something more durable than the current tote bag I have. I like a bag that can literally stand alone without having to be propped up. This bag has a sturdy bottom section that props the bag up even if there is nothing in it. I just received the bag today, I have not worn it to work yet but after organizing my items in there, I'm already satisfied. It seems sturdy and quite larger than I expected. There are different compartments (I counted 6 compartments) in the bag, including a section alone to put pens and a front zipper. I notice that not all the bags in the different colors sold by this vendor has the long attachable strap. The black one, the one I purchased comes with it. That's also a nice touch. As far as durability, time will tell with that one, but it seems that of high quality.

I adore this bag! It has the perfect aesthetic and functionality for an everyday bag that I can take to work and everywhere else. Plenty of room to throw in a few diapers when I’m not at work and plenty of space for books and planners when I am going to work. Love the organization. The bag is also super light! Unfortunately the straps started falling apart within two months of use. I’m still using the bag because I like it that much, but I really wish the straps were more durable. I’d be willing to pay twice as much for this bag if the straps wouldn’t fall apart!

Great work tote! Big enough to carry my surface pro 12 inch laptop in padded slot with charging cord, mouse pad and mouse all velcro strapped in separate compartment, plus these items: phone, folders, wallet, hand lotion, body mist, lip balms, pouch with feminine hygiene products, reusable bags, water bottle, mini first aid pouch, pens, pepper spray, pack of hand wipes, sunglass case, eyeglass case, pack of tissue, mini umbrella, snacks, and a sweater! Everything is zippered away, nylon fabric is smooth and water resistant. Easy to wipe off/clean. Bag can stand on its own when not weighed down on one side. Crossbody strap does get loosened on its own when worn. Shoulder straps seem sturdy on my shoulders with my bag filled and heavy. Overall, very satisfied with my new laptop/work tote!

This bag is beyond my expectations. It’s gorgeously simple, extremely durable, has a ton of room and zippers inside including a laptop compartment. It has a slot to slide it into your carry on and best of all, it looks great. I got tired of traveling with backpacks as they make me look like a school kid. This bag is classy, and yet a super comfortable travel addition. Comes with a long strap too but I prefer the handbag handles as it just feels like a big purse then. Go buy it, no regrets. PS: To test durability I put my 22lb poodle in the bag and ran around the house. Bag seems fine, poodle is mad.

I needed a bag that could support my mobile office lifestyle. I was in search of a lightweight, but supportive (large capacity) bag that can hold a laptop, legal pads, plenty of files/paper, some basic supplies, and some personal belongings. This bag does it all. Flexible structure, but not sloppy nor too slouchy. Letter and legal size documents fit well and there’s still enough room to fit my usual Tervis cups on the side. The laptop pouch is wide, but doesn’t cut into the storage space of the bag itself too much. The strap is outstanding. Nice padded area right where it hits the shoulder. I appreciate that the clasps swivel, so you won’t have the issue of the strap turning sideways or being ill-fitting. The fabric of the bag is nylon, but it’s not “chintzy” whatsoever. It’ll be easy to clean. The interior pattern of a light grey stripe is just enough. Not too busy. The bag has one interior (quite large) zipper pouch inside (opposite side of laptop pouch) and one zipper pouch on the outside. Lastly, I also appreciate the available pocket-opening to slide bag this onto a luggage rack. Excellent bag at a very reasonable price. Ordered it just yesterday evening, received it this afternoon. Overall, I’m very pleased.

Very happy with this bag. Used it as my carry on Bag. Size was perfect and being able to hang it onto the handle of my suitcase made it very easy to move about with 2 items.. I brought back some frozen fruits and no wet felt on the outside. I definitely would buy again.

Used it as my “personal item” alongside my carry on luggage last time I travelled by plane. Then used as my beach tote once I arrived at my destination. Versatile!

The only thing missing from this bag is an interior pocket for a water bottle or insulated cup.

says its 16" accross - more like 15.25". barely fits my laptop.
