I bought this shampoo on my vet’s recommendation after my dog started having itchy, irritated skin and some clogged follicles. After just a couple of washes, I noticed a huge improvement — the redness went down, and he was scratching way less. It lathers nicely, rinses clean, and doesn’t have a strong or unpleasant smell like some medicated shampoos do. I also appreciated that it didn’t dry out his coat — it actually left his fur feeling soft and clean. If your pup has skin issues like hot spots, oily buildup, or mild infections, this is definitely worth a try. Just be sure to let it sit for a few minutes like the directions say — that really helps it do its job.

Works great for my dog’s waxy oily skin. For years I’ve used oatmeal shampoo which is great but now she is old and like many old dogs she has skin issues. It keeps her skin feeling healthy and doesn’t dry her skin out. Smells great too! My husband uses it sometimes because he gets little bumps on his scalp and this helps to clear them up and leaves his oily hair feeling and looking great. It took me a year to get him to try it and now he keeps stealing the dog’s bottle so I need to keep 2 bottles on hand. Wonderful great quality product! Highly recommend for dogs and husbands with skin problems. I have and will continue to buy again.

Our 1 year Boxer was diagnosed with Demodectic Red Mange, poor thing she was all pink/red underneath with what looked like ant bites and ended up with lot of patches of hair loss, she looked terrible, but no loss of energy or appetite. We were told all dogs have mites but our girl had an hereditary issue where her immune system could not keep the mites controlled. We started her on Bravecto and used this Shampoo. It Worked Great, in less than a month her skin cleared up and her hair started growing back. On month two she had all her hair back. We Highly Recommend this product.

Pet MD makes the best shampoo for dogs. I’ve been using this brand only for 3 years; it’s the only shampoo I trust for my dogs skin. The bottles last a pretty long time for the price. It is definitely worth the 20$. The scent is light and nice, it makes his fur soft as well. First, my dog has severe allergies so anything will irritate his skin, even if we change our carpet cleaner the poor baby will get a rash. So he is really sensitive. This is my first time trying the shampoo in this blue bottle. I always bought the “PET MD medicated shampoo management of skin conditions” it’s in a red bottle and I really hope this brand brings that back because I couldn’t find here!! That is by far the best one although this one works pretty well. I’d say with this bottle it does stop the itching but as for relieving and calming the skin the red bottle or the red wipes work best. This is a really trustworthy brand overall and vet approved so I highly recommend this brand and will continue to buy, but please put the red bottle in stock as well! This has been very effective on my mini schnauzer’s skin issue. The reduction in the inflammation has been amazing and last for weeks. It’s so easy to use and I let it sit on her for a few minutes without any issues to her or her coat or skin. The smell isn’t fruity sweet or anything like that it just has a clean almost citrus smell but not overpowering…. I’d use it no matter cause it helps reduce the swelling and gives her so much relief. And she has a soft and silky coat.

My cat has gone under sedation twice in a couple years and both times he started scratching incessantly and ripping his fur out a few days after his procedures. His skin developed white plaques/scales all over his entire body, bald spots all over (to bare skin), nonstop scratching, absolute misery. I suspect it’s a drug reaction to something they’re giving him in surgery. Poor kitty has been in a sweater for weeks and even if I took it off for just a few seconds, he’d be ripping his fur out again. We just started an immunosupressant, one that helped last time, but he’s only had two doses so far so I don’t think it’s working yet. However, I decided to give the little guy a bath with this stuff this morning just to help get some of the scales off in the meantime, and holy moly - he stopped scratching! I didn’t use much soap because I wasn’t sure if it would burn and I didn’t leave it sit. Just used a tbsp or two and rinsed it right back off but all the visible scales that were littered throughout his fur are gone, he isn’t scratching at all, he seems relieved, and I was able to take his sweater off for the first time in almost a month. Check out the pic. He’s just resting comfortably for the first time in a long time. I’m cautiously optimistic because anything can change but as of right now, I’m amazed.

My almost 4yo Samoyed has had skin problems for over two years. At 2yo we had his skin biopsied and it came back that he had pyoderma dermatitis but our vet didn't know what the cause was or how to treat this. We've been trying foe years to fix his skin problems but it only got worse. Recently we had him tested for bushings and over active thyroid and full bloods came back all normal $1000 later. We've been using malaseb weekly and it works but doesn't remove the greasy and sticky sebum that has build up all over his skin. After doing a lot of research, I believe he has had a persistent fungal infection and came across this product on Amazon. Pet MD Benzoyl Peroxide is not available in Australia, but the reviews were so good, I forked out $80 to try this. I massaged it in well and left it on his skin for 10-15 mins and repeated. I was amazed to see the steadfast stickiness lifting and I could finally see his pink skin under the black and brown build-up as it degreased the skin. After one wash, it is not 100% better but I would say its the best thing I've used so far and I'm excited that this will be the answer to our skin problems. I will continue to use this every second day along with malaseb to kill the fungus and I look forward to reviewing hoe it goes. We have tried everything else. After just one use, it worked so well, I am hopeful it will clear up the skin once and for all.
