I’m so disappointed that this lovely-looking rug is not as functional as I’d hoped it would be. On our first day of use, a single spark ember jumped out and singed a very small spot in the rug. On subsequent uses, larger embers did even more significant damage (pictured). Although the rug (thankfully!) didn’t catch fire, this is not the quality I was expecting. I’m extremely disappointed as I thought based on the description, it would hold up against this kind of use.

Bought this to put in front of wood burning fireplace, an ember landed on it and burned a hole through the rug and burned a hole in my hardwood floor. It looks nice, so if you don't need something fire resistant it's a nice rug

I have poping wood and quit a few hot coals got out and melted the top of the rug .I dident leave them on the rug long enuf for them to melt throughSo the rug has many melt holesI would not buy this again , it did protect the floor . however u need to be vigilant

I felt this product was a high quality for the price.
