I had my tongue in hand and realized that this rag was almost dry at bottom of sink, so zi used my hand, and it wasn't slimy!!! It wasn't a fluke because, now, it has happened more than once. I bought these rags because they were cheaper than the rolls of Bounty this family of 4 goes through and can be used over and over. These great, little rags are very absorbent, even picking up a spill while slightly damp. They dry quickly, and aren't slimy when wet. They can be used for multiple chores: countertops; stoves,; dusting (works as well as Swiffer, but can be reused; great for cleaning eyeglasses, phone/computer screens and windows, without streaks. The size is clearly stated, so I don't know what people are complaining about. I like the smaller size; while cleaning. I fold it in half, which gives me 4 different cleaning sides and is more manageable than a larger cloth where most of it is flopping over your arm anyway. Biggest bargain is that my husband loves them for waxing his race boat...he's quit using my good towels!
