Good product cheap but didn’t reorder

I have been taking these supplements for about a year. I really noticed their benefit. While I can't speak in medical terminology, I do know they make me feel better. I ran out once and realized that I felt less vibrant without them. I have had no adverse effects and I think they actually help my blood sugar. I take one three times a day with meals.

Good product and much cheaper than regular over the shelf.

Please know that there are higher dosage options with one pill. For my recommended dosage I needed 6 per day instead of one pill 2x a day.

I am very selective on the types of herbs that I take, these Pure brand herbs is produced here in the USA and is truly pure with no added fillers or preservatives. It’s large quantity of 730 capsules or a better choice for your money.

First, I love Pure products, I am still buying their products to this day. But this item specifically needs to be called out. Concerns with This Berberine Product 1. Low Actual Berberine Content. It lists: Goldenseal Berberine 5% – 1,440 mg That means only ~72 mg of actual Berberine per 3 capsules (1440 mg × 0.05 = 72 mg total berberine) You’d need over 20 capsules/day to reach the clinical dose of 500–1000 mg 2. Goldenseal Root is not a clean source. Goldenseal contains a variety of alkaloids — berberine is only one of them. Less researched, more unpredictable in effect. Can strain liver at high doses or interact with meds. What You Actually Want: A product labeled clearly as: “Berberine HCl 500 mg per capsule” or “Berberine from Berberis aristata” or Berberis vulgaris Ideally GMP certified, third-party tested. In short: This product is not a strong or efficient source of Berberine. You’d get much better results (and fewer pills) from a standardized 500 mg Berberine HCl capsule.

I didn't realize one capsule is only 480mg and not 500mg. This was my error and it resulted in my A1C going all over the place. I wish this company would start making them in 500mg instead. Really messes up the dosage and how a person feels. Not good. Other than that, they are not bad. Just fix the dosage, please. Thanks
