Does as advertised - does GREAT job at keeping the horse troughs cleaner longer than any others we have tried!

This product is great, making cleaning the stock tank very easy and keeps the water fresh longer. I clean my tank every week and the water stays of acceptable quality for that time, and the algae that grows on the sides comes off effortlessly with a scrub sponge, leaving no residual stains or marks. Without Stock Tank Defense, the tank just won't come clean as I like, even with 10x the scrubbing. This product keeps my horses happy and saves me tremendous time in cleaning. It is the best product and totally safe for horses. My horses love their water! On the shipping from Amazon, about 1/4 of the tablets were damaged and crushed, fyi. But I would order again through Amazon due to availability and lower cost than I can find locally.

I have used these tablets in my cattle tanks year round for 2 years now. The only thing difference is I use less tablets in the winter this keeps the bottom junk growth on my heaters . The key is to start with a clean tank. If you want clean tanks this is the product.

We've purchase this product more than once thinking that maybe it'll make a big difference. Maybe it does. Maybe. We still have to clean the 150 gallon water tank for the horses. The claims are big but the results seem to be little. It's not pricey so we will continue to use it. Nothing beats cleaning the water every 2 or 3 days though minimum if you want clean clear water! Elbow grease says it all!

This is a good product and does what it is intended to do, when it arrives in good condition. I have previously purchased these from a local retail store in the 6 tablet pack. When that retailer was out of stock, I turned to Amazon where I found the product in a 24 tablet plastic container at a more economical per tablet price. However, when the product arrived with the container in a shipping envelope the tablets were broken to bits and pieces. I would suggest the manufacturer fill the empty air space with some sort of filler like cotton to keep the tablets from bouncing around and breaking in the container while in transit. I would also suggest that Amazon or other on line ordering sites, package the container in bubble rap and a durable box so the product arrives in good condition. It is ashamed that a good product, such as this, gets destroyed by delivery services due to handling and poor packaging.

I used this in a spring fed water trough. It’s right in the sun and gets very green. I throw in a few of these about once a month and it seems to take care of most of the green. I’ll keep using.

These tablets keep my horse water tanks cleaner than anything I have tried before, and I have goldfish doing well in the tanks, too! This works in 100 degree Texas heat.

The tablets have reduced algae in our horses' water tank. About half the tablets were broken upon arrival. For a product dispensed once weekly, blister packaging would work better than loose tablets in a jar.
