First off, there's no cure for long cable runs causing signal degradation so forget it with any brand. I got this because I have a bigger home studio that's quite long and split into a small control room and a larger live/tracking room. Even my longest headphone cables wouldn't reach from my interface into the live room when tracking so the solution was to get an extender like this.I haven't noticed any degradation in sound quality while using these with my Sony MDR closed back monitoring headphones. It's plenty long and it's thick enough to withstand getting stepped on a few times while still being nice and flexible. It mostly hangs on the ground while my actual headphone cable is the one that's up off the ground so I barely notice it.Some people have said the female connector doesn't snap well or is too large. I could sort of see the concern after I plugged mine in as there's a clear snap but it doesn't sound like it's clamped hard. That said, I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't read the reviews. So far I can plug and unplug a quarter inch cable into it and feel confident that it's secure. There's no indication that the connection isn't good. No crackling or wiggling. Maybe over time the female connector may begin to fail and that wouldn't surprise me given the price but I don't expect this going bad for at least a few year and even then I doubt I'll have an issue. These are affordable enough that it isn't a big deal to have to replace them in the future.This is a perfectly good headphone extension cable. Unless you know of some law of physics that the rest of us don't, there is no brand that can get around signal degradation as cable length increases but I can't hear it and it shouldn't matter in a scenario where you're tracking and monitoring. You should be near your interface when mixing anyway and shouldn't need this so the point is moot. If there is degradation it's not enough to make any difference when you're monitoring yourself tracking.

I was tired of my old, but reliable Radio Shack extension cable twisting and knotting up after all these years. I stumbled across these in a search and thought I'd give them a try. Right off the bat they seem very sturdy and strong. They may curl a bit in time (I hope not) but their construction is such that the cord is very sturdy and durable. For the price (I got the 25 ft. extension) these cannot be beat.

I would buy 10 of them. And they work flawlessly.

I use this with the headphones to practice my drums so lots of moving around but I leave them plugged in and setup for anytime use, I'll let you know if they crap out anytime soon like the small 3.5mm extension cord. remember you need adaptors to use headphones, and to plug into the stereo, everything is 3.5mm now, but not very heavy duty like this cable is.

I purchased two of these cables for drum and guitar monitoring in our practice space. This cable is sturdy, high quality, and doesn’t tangle or coil in weird ways like a lot of cheaper cables tend to do. This has 1/4” ends, so you will need an adapter if you are using standard headphones.

First time with this brand and I loved it. Construction on the cables is phenomenal. Please bear in mind with long cables like these that the signal strength decreases a lot, so be prepared to have less volume on your headphones. I bouth 4 of these and I use them in the studio for the tracking musicians and I have several headphone amps and the provide the necessary power.
