Exactly what I wanted for storing my paper based collection of games to prevent damage and loss of value. Stacking them about 3 high works well, and they are tall enough to begin with that basement flooding never gets higher than half way up. It is very clear what is stored in each one from the side and end view. So it is not necessary to unload the contents to see what is stored even at the bottom. On the down side, you cannot expect these boxes to keep out mice. There's just enough thin closure points a mouse can squeeze through that it's possible for rodent damage to occur.

The NYTimes Wirecutter review said that this bin had passed the "throw it down the stairs" test. That's why I bought it – and then shipped it packed full of stuff across the country and back. It made it without a scratch or a crack... unlike the bin that is this exact same style, bought at Costco, which shattered after its cross-country travels.

This is my 10th order of this, love them for storage. HOWEVER, someone decided to ship it without putting it in a box like the previous 9 orders and now I’m wasting a bottle of Goof-Off to remove the labels. Should have just returned it and gone to Lowe’s to buy one. Not the manufacturers fault that shipping took an ill advised short cut and compounded the error with non-removable labels.

Exactly as you expect, good size, closes well, feels quality, doesn't bend even with a laundry basket and duffel bag on top.

Wasn’t a fan of how the lid tops fit together. It would take a couple of tries each time to close.I guess if it would be used just for storage it might be okay for others. The bin was quite sturdy though.
