I bought this collar for a third dog on our system. We have used this dog containment system for 20 years with 6 dogs. I wouldn’t have a dog without it. The system allows the dogs so much freedom. My dogs go outside for hours at a time without supervision. They are quite accustomed to it and I’m certain they are very seldom shocked. The vibration is reminder enough. They have access to the garage and one and a half acres (food, water, shade and shelter). They are quite content. It’s a great system! We dog sit our daughter’s Australian Shepard and wanted a collar for him so he would have the freedom of our other dogs. I bought this collar and the sensitivity was not the same as our other two collars. I would have needed to turn up the range on the transmitter for it to work properly and then the exclusion range would be messed up for our other dog’s collars. I called the customer service line for the company and they said the new collar should not perform that way. They said it could be a battery but offered to send out the newest rechargeable battery collar at no cost. They sent it to me 2nd day shipping. This new collar is much improved and works perfectly. So while I wasn’t satisfied with this collar the company’s customer service went above and beyond to remedy the situation. My 20+ year experience with them has always been good. This is a great company to work with.

I have used these collars for years and they typically last a few years. I got this one in July and now it does not work. Not sure why I changed the battery and still nothing. Very disappointing with this. These are not cheap to have to buy a new one after two months.

Our Cavalier King Charles pup was an expert escape artist. We tried everything else before this. He had this fence system figured out in about 10 minutes and he has not escaped our yard once in the 2 months we've had it, nor does he even try anymore. This system is awesome! Worth every penny. My husband didn't actually dig the ground up, completely, just used landscaping pins to keep it in place and topped with a small amount of packed dirt and it worked great. He had worn the collar in the rain and swimming and it's held up great. The battery is working fine after 2 months of daily use. Great purchase!

I already had an underground fence installed that I use with my American Bully with the PetSafe stubborn dog collar. He is 5 years old, took 2 weeks to train, and stays in bounds even if his collar battery is dead for months. I trained my 7 year old Chihuahua when she was a puppy and after the first year I stopped using the collar and she never leaves the yard, but the box on her collar was much bigger than this model. Now I'm on day 3 of training my 5 month old Chihuahua Lucy. This small dog collar fits her without the box being too bulky. She is pictured in the collar at a current weight of 8 lbs 8oz. It is adjustable to get much smaller and much bigger. She is up to level 3 on the collar and I don't think I'll need to set it higher. It's really important to use the flags and leash walk for the first couple weeks, until the dog can resist temptations on the other side of the line. The battery it arrived with was pretty much dead out of the box, so I suggest ordering replacement batteries at the same time as ordering the collar. I love allowing my dogs to be "free" in the yard.

We spent over $400 on this item along with accessories. It worked great. I Checked the device today and it is dead. There seems to be no power going through it. We tried multiple outlets. We made sure the AC adapter was all the way in. The device never beeped showing a disconnect, or any other issues. It just seems like it isn’t getting power. Opened the back and pulled 2 fuses. The both look like they’re in good shape. Not sure what to do. Hope the company has a solution for us. We’re big fans of the product, when it works. IT WAS THE AC POWER PLUG. the device wasn’t we had to order a replacement to power the unit.

We bought this product about a year and a half ago. Just after the one year warranty expired it started giving us trouble and now we're at the point where we have to reorder another one. For the money, I felt it should have lasted quite a bit longer. The battery replacements (special order) needed to be replaced quite frequently and it was inconsistent how well it would work. Just replaced the battery for the collar a week ago and it's already dead. Consider something else. Pros: It's lightweight for smaller dogs Cons: Unreliable and quickly goes through batteries

I bought this system after speaking with their customer service. Those people are great. The product is wonderful. I bought this system and due to other issues was not able to install it for almost a year. When I did install it the transformer was defective . I called their customer service again to see if they had any answers... They sent me another new transformer with no questions asked. I felt like had gone back to the 1950's when companies actually stood beige their products. Our 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel can roam the back yard, and I can sit out there a watch them instead of chasing them all over the neighborhood. I upgraded the wire to 14 gauge due to the harsh Kentucky winters. For those installing it themselves, most rental companies rent a machine that slits the ground, puts the wire in the slit, and covers it back up.

My wife's dog is wild. Mini-Pom is 5lbs soaking wet. In spite of training he would see another dog or a squirrel and run away, and take off for hours. Neighbours hated him. Big collars are too big and too strong (eg for the retriever) so this is the PERFECT solution. I use it with the SportDog system since they're related brands and customer service confirmed they're compatible. It beeps to remind, the stimulus increases, and then it gives him a good little reminder not to stray. He knows is boundary well and doesn't test it any longer. FYI he'd run through it at setting 3 / 5 so I keep it at 5 / 5 but that's probably a 1 or 2 out of 5 on the "big collars" for "normal dogs" lol. I do love him. I hate to love him. But I do love him.

Have a small yorkie/maltese mix, only 6.5lbs, 8 years old. This was easy to install and very easy to train my dog to. We were a little concerned about the size of the collar, but when it arrived we were pleasantly surprised. It is bigger then his normal collar obviously, but it doesn't get in his way or weigh him down at all. He loves his new freedom from the leash. We had a small issue at the beginning with the signal strength, and the company offered a full return and to ship out another unit - it turned out to be unnecessary as the error was with the user, lol. Would definitely recommend.

The collar showed up in a few days and worked properly right out of the box. Pairs well with my existing underground fence. No issues.
