WaterfordElegance Pinot Noir Wine Glass Pair

I bought four of these for my wife and she loved them. Then they were used,.....and while washing two literally broke in my hand while washing. I am not sure these are Waterford and maybe a knock off's. Super dissappointed in the quality.

Maybe it works for ultra-picky wine drinkers- specifically pinot noir....but the glasses are weird. I'm thinking they are sold on Amazon because if you see them in person you wouldn't pay so much. The glasses are taller than normal wine glasses, so don't fit in the cupboard. They also have a very large round bottom, later than the top. Waterford says this is so serious Pinto Noir drinkers can get their swirl on...but really? If you're THAT into the wine do you need a "balanced" glass in order to swirl better? And take the balance over aesthetics? I don't think so. Too expensive to return, so buyer beware. Not that great when you see them. It swirls nice though. (But I can do that without the glass looking weird.)
