I am not new to Thermos products, but this flask maintains temperatures; it keeps contents extremely hot or cold even after 24 hours. Unlike our earlier aluminum flasks, this one as a fabulous sleek, dark blue design. I purchased a new one upon emigrating, finding it ideal for two people during travel. The opening/closing mechanism is flawlessly designed, clipping open smoothly and ensuring precise pouring. This is one of the rare products deserving a rating beyond perfect—6 out of 5.

The product is amazing, I tried today and is keeping the water at the same temperature for the last 3 hs. And the delivery was incredible, it took less than 24hs since I ordered until I had on my hands.

I bought this flask as a replacement for my previous Thermos flask, which had come to the end of its useful life. I chose this one because I liked my previous Thermos flask, particularly for its excellent heat retention properties, and thought that this would make an ideal replacement and I also liked (and expected to use) the 15 year guarantee. I am a truck driver and use my flask every working day - nearly 270 days each year. My flasks (I have gone through numerous over the years, of various brands, and had found the Thermos make to be the most robust and the best insulator) get a pretty, actually, very, hard time. I am usually pleased if one lasts much more than a year. I normally pay around £10 for a flask and, although this one was a bit more, I have kept my receipt and guarantee, expecting, as I said before, to make one, or probably several more, claims over the 15 years covered by the guarantee. I could not have been more wrong! This new flask appears to be much stronger than all earlier models of any brand. Having used it now for more than 1 month, it is still totally unmarked - not a scratch or dent in sight! This is a first, as my flasks get pretty rough handling, bouncing about in my kit bag or when stored in my cab as I travel around the Country. However, I think the biggest improvement is in the combined stopper/pourer. This has almost always been the component to fail first, with the spring, clip or other moving parts breaking or failing - probably contributed to by limescale build up from the very hard water in my local supply. The pouring mechanism has now been completely redesigned and, so far, shows no evidence of being affected by limescale and, as the need for a spring has been eliminated, I do not now expect this part to fail. The effectiveness of the seal has actually improved too:- As I 'superheat' my coffee in the microwave before pouring into the flask, condensation has always gathered on the inside of the lid/cup on all previous flasks - especially after the first cup had been poured. This has led to dripping and/or leakage each time the lid was removed. This new flask, though, suffers from negligible condensation and has not yet dripped once. The final benefit of the newly designed stopper/pourer is that my coffee is kept hotter for longer. My previous Thermos flasks would keep my 'superheated' coffee hot for 12 hours, or a little longer, if the stopper had not been opened earlier. This period was reduced proportionally according to how many and how soon I had poured drinks before the 12 hour mark. Possibly due to the improved seal, I find that I can now have an earlier cuppa or even cuppas and my coffee will still be hot for up to about 12 hours. If the flask is left unopened, the contents are still piping hot up to around 14 to 15 hours after filling. I cannot comment on the effectiveness of keeping drinks cold - I use mine only for hot coffee. As you can probably tell, I am delighted with my new flask and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who might anticipate similar using and 'abusing' of their insulated drinks container. :-)

Die Bewertung von 5 Sternen hat sich die Flasche meiner Meinung nach verdient, da das allmorgendlich, auch mal in aller Frühe (ab 4-7 Uhr), eingefüllte heiße Wasser für Tee, um die Zeit der Einkehr in die Hütten (15-17 Uhr) noch heiß bis warm gewesen ist. Auch nach 24 Stunden ist das Wasser noch überraschend warm, wenn die Flasche voll ist. Die Leistung lässt verständlich leicht nach, wenn sich der Inhalt der Flasche auf der Wanderung leert. Die Flasche lässt sich leicht öffnen, Drehverschluss und Knickverschluss sind einwandfrei. Das Schließen funktioniert ebenso einfach. In geschlossenem Zustand zu jeder Zeit dicht. Nicht immer lässt sich der Drehverschluss beim ersten Versuch ganz schließen (verhakt sich), doch das stellt kein wirkliches Problem dar. Wir haben Sie immer im Rucksack stehend transportiert, jedoch natürlich auch über Kopf und liegend auf verräterische Tropfen durch das Auslaufen des Inhalts geprüft. Das Reinigen der Flasche ist ebenfalls unproblematisch, auch wenn sie nicht in die Spülmaschine darf. Weiterhin ist der Flasche Robustheit zu bescheinigen, da sie mehr als einmal umgekippt oder aus dem Stand auf den Boden gefallen ist. Je nach Einsatz sind Kratzer unvermeidlich. Die Aufgabe der Flasche, nämlich das Warmhalten von Getränken, wird dadurch nicht beeinflusst. Aus dem Deckel, welche auch als Becher dient, lässt sich leicht trinken. Vorsicht! Das Wasser kann, aufgrund der unverhofft guten Isolation, zum Zeitpunkt des Trinkens noch heiß sein. Der Deckel wird jedoch nicht unangenehm heiß. Zum Reinigen nutze ich heißes Wasser und bei Bedarf eine lange Bürste. Es ist kein Gummi- oder Plastikgeruch zu vernehmen. Die klägliche Gebrauchsanleitung ist meiner Meinung nach überflüssiges Papier. Eine zweite Flasche wird, trotz des etwas höheren Preises zum Wettbewerb, bestellt, da sie ihr Geld wert ist.

I wil not tell dry facts about The Thermos itself...ok I ll :) Thermos is beautiful, slim, not heavy, with water of cource a little bit heavy but that is normal. Keeps heat half a day (100%C) or more (90%C, longer - less). Tried only on WARM water inside. Now hot, just very warm. Now what I want to say... I dunno how I lived without it for a few months untill we got it :) Our small baby happend to drink milk powder and for mamas with such a baby it is one of the BEST presents to give/buy! I remember with horror that nights when you have to wake up many times every night and to start the same process of heating water in pot, than mixing milk with water, bottles, powder, spoons, darkness, making sounds, walking here and there... now I always have just perfect temperatre water and this thermos is serving me days (outside, for short/long trps), and nights.... I add freshly boiled water, rinsing so the thermos inside that it keeps heat for longer, add cold water to get Very warm water before night, in the morning it's still the same very warm (on 90%). Same happends when we go for a walk (for half a day), now is Winter, outside is very cold, but water is the same warm untill we come back home in the evening. I do recommend it very much, and, before buying it, I checked comparisons of similar products in different languages (countries), this is one of the best ones excisting now on market.
