Works as expected but I knocked off a star because it didn't come with a bracket.

This card is not an "everything" card, but we had a customer that wanted a system with raid 10, and it had to be hardware raid, and this card fit the bill. The contents of the box from the seller was exactly as described, and arrive very quickly and in perfect shape. Just a note: this card doesn't do CRC, so don't get it if you need raid 5 or 6.

After some answsers here tried and bit the bullet, and it DOES NOT SUPPORT 3TB disks. You can only use 2.2TB after updating to latest firmware.Aside from that, its a cheap and fast card. Will not return it because I can use it on a secondary NAS.

Purchased this card for use in a freenas server- First card arrived in a padded envelope, mangled. Second card was better padded, but not a standard PCI bracket so there was no way to screw it in to support the card- the PCI slot was the only support. Tried to give it a go anyways, then found out that there is a 2.2TB drive limit. Returned and bought a supermicro card that supports 8TB drives but requires a windows based system. Not my original plan but it works

This 8 port controller works well for ZFS on Solaris.It is one of the cheapest 8 port cards that plugs into a PCIe x8slot, A great choice for building a small ZFS storage server.
