These are sturdy, have held up well at 15 psi for 120 minutes, and are the perfect size to pack 6x 3lbs bags into a 23 Qts pressure cooker. Ordering more!

Will pop / burst during sterilization, very thin mil, melts during sterilization. Unused Bags have holes/rips, Defective bottom seals on bags and bags prone to popping under 15psi x 90 or 180min sterilization. Not worth wasted money, time, effort, excess waste…

Was hesitant at first due to the lack of reviews but this is a great smaller size bag for general purpose grain spawn work if you want faster colonization. Grain spawn pictured was 3.5 pounds of whole oats and the brown bags are 4 pound hardwood fruiting blocks (reishi grains spreading after a day!). Bags held up to 2 hours at 15psi very well and 95% of bags had no deformations at all. For some reason a few of the bags formed a bubble the size of a quarter on the side that made the plastic as thin as a shopping bag in that one spot after cooking, but cool and colonized they have not torn or contaminated even after shaking and breaking up grains. All bags held a seal/vacuum after sterilizing very well 2 days after cooling and none had contamination. As long as you use proper technique, and watch moisture/ hygiene especially, your mycelium will grown wonderfully like seen in the pictures. Once your bag turns white, give top half a light squeeze and smell the sweet mushroomy aroma (one of my favorite parts :)

Just as title says. The bags are durable in a PC for 3 hours at 15psi. No reason to go longer than that.

The bags hold the 3.5 lbs of soaked grain I need them to hold but the bags are thinner plastic than I was using before and they are difficult to get a perfect fold with before I put the bags in the pressure cooker. Hasn’t affected my spawn so far, but the bags won’t remain perfectly vacuum sealed after I remove from pressure cooker like my previous ones did.

Using these to grow Lion's Mane - They're sturdy enough if you want to do an all in one bag and mix it together through lots of squeezing of the substrate through the bag. The filter works and allows enough air exchange for colonization.

Great durability. Great investment
