They work but there are better options, but not at this price.
If you are trying to shut up your neighbors dog with an ultrasonic generator and your speaker budget is $8 these are great, If money is no object and you want the neighbors dog to question their life choices get a ORION HCCA-TN1. I started with these little piezo tweeters and they definitely annoyed the little yappers, but I eventually upgraded to the $100 orion speaker and it looks like they got zapped with a stungun when I turn it on and they go inside and shut up.
