Good substitute for original part
I used this to replace a more expensive Haywood pressure gauge. This does not have the colored pointers, but if you can remember the pressure you start with this replacement gauge will serve you well. I have been using for 2 months now. Fit correctly and I’ve seen no leakage.

Not highly accurate but does the trick for a pool.
This is not very accurate as it shows one PSI when my Hayward pool pump shows it’s putting out six PSI. It shows five psi when the pump shows it is producing nine psi. This gauge cannot be adjusted. But when you consider its very low price the way it works is adequate for a swimming pool. You could probably buy a more accurate gauge for scientific purposes at several times the price but that would be a waste of money. I seldom check the pressure. This little gauge is fine for my needs.

Great Gauge
It’s a gauge. Threads are accurate, built sturdy, doesn’t leak, and reads accurately. What else can you say? Installed in about 20 seconds. Maybe a minute if you count the time I used to apply Teflon tape. Easy!

Limited life span
This is my 3rd Aquatix pressure gauge. The first arrived defective, but was promptly replaced with a second unit. The second failed after 1.5 years. I replaced it with another Aquatix gauge which lasted much longer at 3.5 years. This one failed during a hard freeze (not its first) at which point it quit reading correctly, and at that point I noticed a slow drip, probably due to the rust. While they are very affordable, I've decided that a genuine Hayward gauge for 4x the price may be worth the extra money. Interestingly the Hayward has a plastic body.
