This is a great yo-yo for your kids. My son loves using it, and it reminds me of my old Brain yo-yo from when I was growing up. It works exactly the same as the old ones. I'm able to get it to hang down for a reasonable amount of time. If you need more than that, I would recommend getting some PTFE lubricant to get the extra spin time you need for any tricks you plan on doing.

As a parent, I can't say enough good things about the Yomega The Original Brain yoyo. It's been an excellent choice for my child who's just getting into yoyoing and wants to explore this classic skill toy. One of the standout features of the Yomega Brain is its beginner-friendly design. The auto-return feature is a game-changer for kids who are still learning the basics. It ensures that the yoyo comes back to their hand, reducing frustration and helping them build confidence in their skills. This feature alone has made the learning process much smoother for my child. Durability is a big concern for parents, and the Yomega Brain doesn't disappoint. Despite numerous falls and tumbles, it has held up exceptionally well. It's clear that this yoyo is built to withstand the rigors of beginner practice. The design is another plus point. It looks professional and not overly childish, making it suitable for older kids and teenagers as well. This means that the Yomega Brain can grow with your child as they progress in their yoyo journey. I appreciate how this yoyo encourages active play and helps develop hand-eye coordination. It's a great alternative to screen time and video games.

Note that this is a pretty specific yoyo- YES its beginner friendly in a way, just learned how to throw my first sleepers on it, but I think thats all its really meant for. If you're really wanting to get into string tricks, or if you just want something more versatile, there are definitely MUCH better options for this price point (just ordered an Offset Ascent and a Variant, Ascents are like $17 or $18 I think, and are responsive like this. I believe the variant is UNRESPONSIVE, however) Specifically, the clutch system this yoyo uses to sleep is very old and I think kind of unique (this is a 90s yoyo, very different times)- not only do you have to throw the SNOT out of this to make it sleep at all, it's only going to sleep for maybe a few seconds at the most- it will ALWAYS return back to your hand even without pulling it out of sleep. If you're trying to learn some simple tricks with this you're going to NEED some good sleep time, and this is NOT the yoyo for MOST tricks. I will say I'm thankful I've learned how to get some pretty powerful throws with this as my first yoyo though, because you have no other choice if you want it to sleep AT ALL. Really, I'd consider this just a tool to learn to get powerful throws, and I guess a sort of fidget toy too if you're okay just throwing some really short sleepers. I've also heard the clutch on this doesn't take too much to break, though it's worked fine for me for the one day I've been throwing it. Might update this review once I've gotten my other yoyos and have something more universal to compare it to!

I originally sent a two star review. I was frustrated since my gifts hadn’t arrived. As it turned out it was an Amazon problem and all I know is that I was issued a refund with no explanation other than the products I ordered could not be delivered. I reordered the same product and it arrived overnight. The YoYo is very nice and well made. We ordered two and the kids will love them. They are definitely a five star item with extra string and boxed very nicely in styrofoam.

My 7 year old granddaughter was trying to yo-yo with her grandfathers antique but couldn’t bring it up so I bought her this one which helped her considerably. It comes with everything you need and now she feels more confident and plays with it longer and doesn’t get frustrated. Instructions are easy to follow.

This is what started it all for me in my yo-yo hobby career. This is an out right fun yo-yo for beginners and pros. It’s fun to play with the clutch system. They are made just like they were back in the day.

It's good for beginners

This yo-yo is definitely worth the price. The only thing is I got a defective one because everytime I sleep it the yo-yo yalls apart. I’m hoping the company replaces it. Other than that I love the yo-yo. Definitely would buy again.

Nice yoyo I need to practice

I got the Yomega yoyo for my child, and it's been a fantastic choice! The vibrant color is eye-catching, and the yoyo itself is solid and well-made. It works smoothly, making it great for beginners, and the auto-return feature is a nice touch. What I love most is how it takes me back to my own childhood, such a nostalgic toy, but still just as fun today! My child loves it, and I enjoy showing off a few old tricks too, haha.

Es ún yoyo muy resistente y con un diseño que l hace fácil de utilizar para principiantes. No sé si para usos más avanzados presenta algún problema pero como primer yoyo está muy bien. Satisfecha con la compra.
