I bought Woodland camo pack
I bought this pack based on price, and other reviews. I like it. I removed the vertical strap, and found the shoulder straps too thin and too narrow. I replaced them with an old pair of ALICE pack straps. They work well with the pack. I also added a new smaller Woodland MOLLE pouch to the front of the lower pouch. I find the velcro pad a little small for adding patches or the like. I plan on sending it out to affix a larger velcro pad, and to replace the lower d rings with stronger d rings. Perhaps to re-enforce the stitching, too.

sturdy enough; don't go nuts with it
I read a lot of reviews on a lot of packs before I bought this one.It certainly isn't the best, but for the price, I think it has a lot of value. There are a lot of negative reviews about this pack for one reason or another - personally, I think many of the one-star reviews end up being from gear snobs, or people who didn't take the time to properly research the item.DON'T expect this to be of the same quality as a Maxpedition, 5.11, Kelty or other $150+ assault pack because it isn't - this pack is obviously not in the same league as the more expensive packs; the MOLLE spacing isn't perfect, the seams and webbing attachments aren't double stitched, and it won't have nearly as many bells and whistles as a Falcon 2.DO make sure you know what you're buying - it's a medium-quality 30-ish liter pack. If you're not familiar with how pack volumes are measured, you will probably be surprised at how small the pack is. I encourage you to use a tape measure to truly visualize the size of this pack before you buy it (the measurements in inches are in the product description) - being disappointed because this pack is smaller than you expected when you don't take the time to use the measurements provided by the manufacturer is a weak reason to leave a poor review, and indicates a lack of initiative and accountability on your part. All that aside, I do recommend this pack - if you don't abuse the hell out of it, and if you're willing to maintain it, it'll last a good long time.SIZE is perfect for a 72+ hour Get Home Bag - I was able to fit one full change of clothes (carhartts, base layer top, wool socks, gloves, rain shell), good amount of tools (knife and hatchet and such), large lvl 2 first aid kit, flashlights, batteries, Glock 17 and 2 magazines, SEWING KIT (very important, considering the pack), emergency bars, 10x12 tarp and sleeping pad, tons of cordage, the list goes on. This is NOT a good sized pack for your three day camping trip, or to carry four or five heavy textbooks to and from campus five days a week. Save yourself a facepalm and drop the cash on a larger pack. DO buy this pack as an affordable emergency pack to keep in your car, under your desk, or in your closet.DURABILITY is just fine, so long as you don't super-stuff the thing so the seams bulge. As I mentioned above, they are not double-stitched, so you will pop a seam eventually if you load the thing down. Too much weight and/or abuse will rip a shoulder strap free, yada yada. Take care of your gear, and pack a sewing kit capable of repairing canvas/leather and this is a non-issue. If you're NOT willing to deal with the relatively unlikely and minor inconvenience of periodic pack repair, don't buy this pack. You will whine about it. Those of you who don't operate under the illusion that every piece of outdoor or emergency gear should come with an unconditional lifetime guarantee, and are willing to play an active role in the upkeep of your gear, you will appreciate this pack as a cost-effective alternative to the more popular brands.Other notes:MOLLE spacing is not perfect. In fact, if memory serves, the description doesn't refer to the webbing loop system as being "MOLLE", which is fine - it will still work for many MOLLE accessories, as well as a good ol' fashioned P-cord weave.Digital camo pattern is very high quality, I'm really happy with how it looks.Shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt are comfortable and adjustable. I'm sure after four or five days of wear, I'd be pretty sick of them, but like I said, I wouldn't use this pack for a multi-day camping trip.A gripe I've seen in a few reviews addresses the Y-strap, and how you can't get the middle pouch to open completely because the strap is threaded through the pack's webbing all the way up the front. I was able to fix this in about 2 minutes, and I'm sure you can figure out how yourself. That's about it - I tried to address all of the negative aspects of reviews that I encountered before purchasing this pack myself, especially those that gave me pause or showed up over and over. Hopefully this helps steer folks like me to buying this pack - if you know what you want and what you're getting, then you'll be as happy with it as I am.Thanks!

Very roomy day pack!
I took this pack out for a day trip at a local park. The pack is very roomy. It holds a hydration pack, tons of gear and for the most part pretty comfortable for an inexpensive pack. You can pack a lot of gear in this pack, and that is the best part of this pack! The top compartment is 8" W x 4 1/2" H, keep in mind all measurements are rough estimate, based on your packing skills. This compartment expanded to about 3" deep, stored my pocket camera, phone & other small items like chap stick. plus lots of loops for ?? hookable things like thin flashlights insect repellant or whatever you want to hook on!The next compartment down is 10"H x 8' W and 3" deep, I could store a medium size first aid kit, small compact binoculars and a map with room to spare. At the bottom of the pack are two strap to carry additional gear, down side- tighten-loosen straps rather than hook together straps, tried to put a small blanket there, no luck. Maybe a small very tight sleeping pad?? There are also compression straps on each side to compress the full depth of the bag. Again tighten-loosen straps instead of hook together buckles, much harder to access in a hurry, but strong. The first full length compartment behind these two small front compartment opens fully about 3/4 of the way before you have to loosen the straps, which are the good and bad with MOLLE packs. But it is enough to maneuver your gear thankfully. all compartments are vinyl on the side facing the weather, the other side of each compartment is woven fabric material. (With the exception of the last compartment which is nylon on weather side and vinyl on the other side, reversed.) This is a large wide compartment, and there is a pocket at the top 5" H x 6" W great for important documents deeper in your pack, also on top of this pocket is two smaller net style pockets as well, both roughly 3" W. I packed snacks in here, TP, other odds and ends. The next full compartment has a large net pocket on the front or weather side of he pack about 8 1/2" H by 9" W, and on the other side a zippered compartment about 4 1/2" H x 8" W. Great area for soft shell jackets and clothing type gear. The last compartment is behind the top handle on bag, for hydration pack which I love! Freeze the pack and it feels great on your back as it melts! The back is padded about 1/2" I'd guess, with mesh covering. The shoulder straps are thinly padded as well, not totally uncomfortable, think my complaint here was the straps dig into you shoulder a bit. Probably since it was designed more for a guy than a women. Same for the hip "strap" no padding at all. There are tons of areas to hook on to, luckily as you cannot reach any of the compartments while wearing. So unless you plan to use a lot of hook on accessories, you'll be removing pack every time you need something. camera or phone, extra drink or whatever. Would probably recommend the extra add on pockets for the shoulder straps for those items, swinging items take up energy.I can't give 5 stars as none of the compartment are accessible while hiking, so it depends on your own use/style. It is a great pack for being small, overall size 18" H x 10" W I didn't pack mine to the hilt, but loosening straps could expand up to 9" deep, which for me is plenty roomy enough for a day hike. For use as a day pack you can really pack this thing, if needed. Will up date with more use, hope this helps!

It's decent
I used to have what I think was a Condor Brand bag just like this but it had been recently stolen out of my truck, had that thing for years. Anyways the bag is decent, the shoulder pads are pretty thin which is a let down

Great!
Best backpack I have ever owned. Yes the straps come loose but all you have to do is loop it back in the buckle right and it works perfect. The colour is really nice too. Looks great

A great purchase!
This pack has been all over the world with me and has faced a near daily beating for years. It's starting to show the wear but the pack is still solid! A great purchase!
