Sumatra Deck Box

I received mine in about 3 days. The package was in great shape and all of the parts were included. I highly recommend laying out everything to take an inventory and inspect for damage before you get started. They provide you with a phone number on an insert just in case you need to contact them. I'm a 51 year old female and I put this together easily by myself in about 30 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and the pictures were very accurate. You literally only need a philips head screwdriver but a rubber mallet is also helpful. I would suggest you put it together on carpet so it doesn't scratch your floor and so you don't scratch the box if you are indoors. The box itself is beautiful and way roomier than I ever imagined! I love that the width is where you get the bulk of the space, instead of the length, although both are generous. The top of it is completely flat for seating. It's awesome! It does appear that it would completely keep out water but I'd worry if it were on the grass. You'll notice when you assemble it that the bottom is not totally solid in places (perhaps to allow drainage?) but since it is raised a bit, it would not be an issue on a hard surface. Not sure the bottom would be strong enough either if you tried to move it while it's loaded unless you just slide it. If you are someone who is still shopping for the perfect outdoor storage box, one thing you MUST consider. The hinges! The hinges on this product are phenomenal metal gas hinges not cheap plastic like others. The movement is smooth and they hold the top up REALLY strong when you need items from inside. And yes you can lock it. I doubt a full-size padlock would work but I had a medium sized one that I use on a gym locker and it fit perfect. You can save about $15 @ Home Depot but you have to go pick it yourself. I HIGHLY recommend this product and only wish I would've bought it sooner. I live in Texas and this will finally offer the protection that my stuff needs from wind, rain, sun, and ice. I will post an update after a few good rains/storms to let ya'll know how it did. I'm also thinking of purchasing a second one & adding small wheels to it to store my 7.5 ft. Christmas tree that makes me crazy!. It will easily fit because it breaks down in to 3 pieces. Can't wait to finally sort that out! DO NOT let the size scare you. It's perfect and it will likely save you from having to purchase multiples. Not to mention the additional seating it will give you :)

Great and not too bad to assemble.

Bought the first one to use in our sunroom to store all the items that we were throwing on the floor. It holds so much and we can sit on it to put our shoes on before we go outside. It goes with our wicker furniture quite well. Loved it so much bought the second for our front porch. It holds our recycle bin, boxes for glass recycle, grill accessories, and other misc. items. Our porch looks so much better now. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Love the looks. Recommend!

We do like this unit but have one thing that bothers us. It's easy to put together, has a lot of space. We use it for storing our patio furniture cushions because we live in the rainy northwest. Our cushions just barely fit which causes problems closing. Because the unit is so wide it would be great to have the ability to lock it on both ends rather than the middle. We fit everything in but it stretches the lid up on the sides which if we leave it in the rain there's potential to get your items wet. I will probably hook something up to solve this problem next spring. Other than that little nit this thing is great.

The intended purpose of the storage box was for outdoor lounge chair cushions. It is a good size, good materials, and the price is reasonable. However, the last part of assembly is to attach the lid to the box using hinges secured by screws. This unit was missing those items for both the left and right sides of the lid. I reached out to the seller and requested the missing parts. What they offered was a $5 credit instead. I declined that offer and again requested the missing parts be sent and made the request by talking with an Amazon agent. She contacted the seller on my behalf with my request. I received an email from the seller stating they were sending a FedEx pickup, which is not what I asked for. FedEx requires the item to be disassembled and re-packaged. This is a large item and we declined to spend an hour tearing the box apart, purchasing a large shipping box, and re-packaging it. We just want the hinges and screws for this item. It would be impossible to find these items in any hardware store. Buyer beware if any parts are missing.

This was extremely easy to put together. The product and assembly instruction booklet was missing but it was an easy find online and no inconvenience whatsoever. It’s huge! It doesn’t look ridiculously from the outside but when you open it up... wow! Also, I really like the arms - they are study and hold the lid up well while accessing the interior. It matches my other brown rattan synthetic furniture very well and is attractive. Like others, I would refrain from sitting on it. You could, for sure, but I’m just not sure if that’s a really good idea. It’s a great flat surface to set things on. Probably not anything too heavy (like a large potted plant) though. We just had a lot of rain and the inside is completely dry. The lid fits evenly and securely.

This Outdoor Box is very large & water resistance. I ordered four times, so I have 4 boxes in our backyard. First box already more than a year in our backyard. It is sturdy, the color also good, nothing changed. We got a damage box on the third order, we didn’t see the crack until we assembled it halfway. We got refund for this box. I really recommend this outdoor box if you need storage, and this box can be use as a table too. Just check everything before you start to assemble it.

The box is well constructed with clear assembly instructions. Perfect for storing our outdoor cushions over winter.

Very easy to assemble. Strong enough to support 200+ lbs sitting weight. Lots of storage space for cushions etc. We will see how it stands up to our winter weather.

Fantastic item. Keeps all your garden bits, wellington boots, cushion covers etc etc nice and dry. Would highly recommend.
