Q: Do the snaps hook to the belt loops? That's the only way I can see how they would work. Please help me understand.

No you also need the belt hoops with metal rings to use these. I will tell you they are the best choice for guys with no but and pants on the ground syndrome. I set mine up on my pants and belt while my pants are off . Them slip them on and no more embarrassing problems

Q: Can you buy suspender hooks seperately

Yes, or make them out of 2” nylon ribbon I got at the fabric store, or Amazon sells some that will work

Q: How to keep suspenders from sliding off shoulders?

They might need to be adjusted tighter, or make sure you are hooking to the closest belt loops to your navel. I've not had that issue.

Q: Can these be worn under tshirts etc? I really don’t want to be seen wearing suspenders haha

There should be no problem wearing these suspenders under a T-shirt, or any shirt for that matter, but you would need to wear the shirt on the outside of the pants. You couldn't tuck in a shirt if you wear the suspenders underneath.
