Works well when installed correctly (See review notes)
Works as intended over the 120V AC to deliver Ethernet signal from my house to our outdoor shed-office. I haven't run a speed test, but we can stream music and perform Zoom/Teams calls with no interruption or lag. Has a wired Ethernet port on the far end as well as the WiFi. Easy to set up and could be plug & play if you use as-is with no modifications to the SSID configuration. Configuration is easy with a web-based GUI interface. WiFI has both 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequencies. The challenges you might face are not with this product specifically, but with the type of integration. The WiFi will have a separeate SSID name. You can assign it the same as your other networks, but it would probably be better to name it something different so that you can see what WiFi you are connected to. We found that sometimes our laptops hold on to the SSID from the main house and we have to disconnect and re-connect to the shed office WiFi. If the networks were using the same SSID name & password, it wouldn't be apparrent as to what the connectivity problem is or what network we were connected to. ***IMPORTANT**** This needs to be installed into outlets that are on the same leg (side) of the circuit breaker box in your house. In other words, the breakers that control the circuits for the outlets that you are using to extend the signal need to be on the same side of your circuit breaker panel (left or right). The signal will not traverse a split panel side installation. (I suspect that this has to do with most breaker boxes having 2 hot wires coming in from the street with 1 hot feeding each side of the box.)

Works better than Mesh in my case
I needed to be able to extend WiFi down to my garage to get the software update for my car. The garage is 2 floors down, and the stairways to it are rather narrow. In the past, I tried Mesh wireless network, but in my situation, it didn't deliver strong enough signal. I have 1Gbs Internet service, and on ethernet connection, the max download speed that I have seen so far is 980Mbs and the upload around 900Mbs. On WiFi, it is usually between 650 and 700 Mbs for download, and between 700 and 750 Mbs for upload. With TP-Link Powerline WiFi extender, I get the download speed between 45 and 50Mbs and the upload speed around 30Mbs in the garage. It is on the same electrical panel but not on the same breaker switch, which I've heard slows down the speed dramatically. The only thing connected to the WiFi extender is the car, so I am not sure how the performance differs if you have multiple devices connected to it at all time. For my use case, the download speed (45 to 50Mbs) is good enough, and I am quite happy with this WiFi extender.

Helps when other options are not an option
This works fine for getting a signal in a portion of a house that can't be wired for ethernet and wifi signals are poor. Keep in mind, the bandwidth you'll achieve depends on the electrical circuits in your home and will never be as good at a wired ethernet port or a good Wifi 6 signal. Don't expect miracles, but certainly a usable connection for typical web surfing. Do not expect low latency gaming. I used one of these to help someone get a wireless security camera working outside and it did the job fine.

Lousy WiFi Reception
Thought this would allow me to link to a router in my home. Did not work. Many emails to tech support but apparently they do not read carefully enough to understand the problem. This is problematic for many tech support centers and is not limited to just computer technology. Poor instructions and directions, even from tech support. The product itself needs some redesigning so that it can be used in a receptacle along with another plug-in.

Doesn't work for intended purpose
So bought this to give good wifi at the other end of the house. The wifi part works fine but the two devices don't pair (or stay paired) past about 50ft - they communicate via the house wiring so this shouldn't be an issue - but the closer the devices are physically the better they communicate. So putting in the room I wanted the better wifi means good wifi but very spotty internet. I didn't realize this until a couple months into use because my son would just use the regular house wifi and never told me this system wasn't working. I haven't tried customer service because I am pretty sure there isn't a setting for "stronger signal over house wiring" - lazy I guess since its too late to return. Anyway, didn't work for me.

Great way to get faster internet across your house
Due to the layout of our condo, it's really hard to get any wifi signal in the room furthest from the router and there's no way to move the router closer. To address this problem, I had originally purchased a wifi extender before I realized this type of product exists. I purchased the "wifi" version (TL-WPA7517KIT) and so far I am very happy with it. It only took a couple minutes to install (one unit connects to router, the other goes wherever you want your signal). With the wifi extender, I only got ~5-10 mbps in the "far" room with poor wifi. Now, I'm getting ~80 mbps through both the ethernet connection AND similar speeds on wifi. I synced the connections so this seems to allow some sort of seamless wifi boost throughout our house. I live in a pretty densely packed residential area so even in the room with the router, I typically get ~100 mbps maximum, so the 80 is fantastic. I may purchase a second "wired add on" for my home office set up, which is in another bedroom and sometimes gets spotty wifi connection due to interference from neighbor wifi signals.

Gave Me Fast 4/5 Bar WiFi in Far Off Dead Zone in 5 Minutes!
Have used all kinds of routers, repeaters, etc to try to get wireless in a remote room. This adapter set worked perfectly. Unlike many repeaters which use WiFi to obtain an internet connection to amplify, this one uses the second version of Powerline, which is like using an ethernet connection directly to a wireless Access Point. Installation is basically a matter of plugging in two small adapters. It uses mesh-like technology apparently developed by TP-Link. This thing works, NO slow down in internet speed for your network, can easily integrate with your existing network (and SSID's) automatically to keep you connected to best signal where ever you are in your home.. For me, it functions like an additional mesh point for the far off bedroom over our garage, which I got a strong WiFi signal to using the included Powerline and Wireless adapters. The WiFi adapter operates on both 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz, which is an important feature. Frankly, I can't believe this works so perfectly!
