Handy device for your Joe! I was indecisive whether to buy this one, or a cheaper version. Glad I went for this. Build quality is great, it’s quite a hefty weighted basket, hopefully that means it’ll last! It comes with a divider to help you bank your coals where you want them. Easy to install and fit into place, and super easy to clean to keep your airflow on point!

Excellent quality. There is no rust after a year and it's really heavy steel. Not sure the middle divider is required, it just gets in the way.

This has made using and filling my kamado joe so much easier. It's heavy and well made. Bonus was it was on offer. Make airflow so much better when lighting the coals.

For the most part this is great, saves alot of time when cleaning up the coal, just lift it a bit and give it a quick shake, then pull it out and knock the ash down into the ash basked and it's ready to go again. The only reason I knocked a star off is, as you can see from the picture, you have to get the heat deflectors sat perfectly on the edges or they fall inward. This is a problem if you're in the middle of a cook and it gets a slight knock and they fall off. A bit pricey but a great addition.

I purchased this for my kamado Joe Classic 2 to give me more control when indirect cooking or using the rotisserie. So far so good, the separator does move out of position if you’re not careful but this is a minor gripe as the overall quality is clear and it does seem to help airflow as well. A bit pricey but I’m glad I made the investment.

Built up to a purpose not down to a cost. If you are on the fence about this product just get it ,it increases air flow so lights your fire quicker and when your done just take the whole thing out easy.

I bought this to upgrade my classic 1 and unfortunately you can’t fit both heat deflectors in when you use to. I checked the Kamado Joe website and it say the basket is compatible with classic 1. I read someone say that they cut off the hooks to make it work but but not sure a hack is right when the manufacturer says it’s compatible. You can use one heat deflector but not both. Better suited to classic 2 or 3

Very sturdy original Kamado basket fitting my classic Kamado Joe II as expected. This will definitely enhance the heat flow. Good value for a great piece of kit.

Ottimo resistente e fatto bene

I was having trouble with the kamado Joe stock cast iron charcole grate not letting enough air into the fire chamber. The kamado Joe coal basket makes a big difference in fire breathability and clean up. I'm now getting good, clean burns on my charcoal and nice blue smoke. Fit is a little tall, but I always put my heat deflectors on the second level anyway, so not an issue for me. As the other reviews have noted, this basket is very well built & heavy duty.
