I bought this for my bird, he loves it.With a wifi radio you have much, much more options. This radio is almost always on a station called birdsong fm or something like that and I just really love that I have access to such a specific station that exactly solves my specific use case.The unit itself is very cute and the sound quality is very nice. It took me about 30 minutes to set up (I'm not the most tech savvy person). If you are, then it'll probably be 15 minutes to set it up on wifi and start bookmarking your stations. But if you aren't, then 30 minutes to learn your way around a machine isn't too bad.The build itself is so cute too. I got it in the walnut finish. The color is as pictured. I like it, with the rounded edges it has a little bit of a retro vibe.

This affordable internet radio is very well designed featuring "saved station" select buttons, a volume control knob that doubles as a function selector, sleep timer up to 60 minutes, and plenty of stations to choose by station or genre. Setup takes a little time, be patient, once complete operation is a breeze!

I was looking for an Internet Radio device to try out, but did not want to experiment with devices that cost $100-300. So, the price point of this device seemed to be correct for me. It is a bit smaller than I anticipated and the interface is a bit clunky to use. But it works. Finding stations is a little difficult, and searching by language or genre does not work well. It is portable, operates on batteries and with a power cord, and feels like it is solidly constructed. The sound quality is as good as one can reasonably expect from such a small speaker. The FM receiver is not very powerful, it cannot seem to lock in on distant stations (40 miles away) that my other FM radios can, but local stations are good.

Cons: Stopped working after 9 months. The power connection (uses an old-fashioned "micro" connection) is not properly made and eventually becomes too loose to use. You can use batteries instead but they won't last long. Also if you are connected to mains power and the cord falls out (yes, that's how flimsy it is with the slightest movement), it reboots instead of automatically switching to back-up battery power. The bigger problem is that the radio now just reboots spontaneously and no longer is operative. I have no idea how this problem arose or what is the resolution. It's a shame but this radio will likely end up in the landfill - customer service, can you help please?Pros: unlike Grace models of internet radios, you can get the full suite of BBC radio stations. Presets are a nuisance but using the smartphone app recommended by other reviewers, this radio becomes a lot more manageable ... or was until it stopped working

Are you hearing the same songs on every station in town? Same old stuff that hasn't changed in 20 or more years. Did you used to search for radio at night to pick up something different from farther away than you could drive, or maybe a shortwave fan. If you haven't discovered internet radio yet then I'd say this radio is a great way to start.Search the world at your fingertips. Easy and intuitive to use. Setup was way easier than I even planned for and within minutes I was chasing stations like my teen years. There's even an app, UNDOK, even though it's not mentioned anywhere. Hooks you up with an alternative app called Oktiv but it appears to be supplementary and I've been primarily using UNDOK for my "remote". I had been searching for weeks for the right radio up and down the price spectrum. I have a decent audio system and amp so I needed something with an audio out option and this radio checked all the boxes especially since I wasn't willing to dish out for ultra premium audiophile wet dream. To that, it's been a dream to use and the best purchase I've made in quite some time.Build quality is good and doesn't feel ultra cheap. Sound on it's own is about what you'd expect from a portable radio in the 70s before boom boxes became the thing. It's more suited to being hooked up to an amp for the best output. As previously stated controls are intuitive. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the stations on my want list but I was adding favorites in less than 5 minutes. I haven't met the threshold of 30 saved stations but it is the one wall I see hitting first. 100 would be nice but I'm guessing it's a hardware limit.Since I live in the US the DAB radio isn't even an option. I don't mind as the radio is meant to be internet anyway. Haven't tried over the air FM for the same reason.All in all this is a great starter radio for a service many probably don't realize is available outside of Sirius radio. Worth the buy.
