The Beadsmith Wire Elements 20-Gauge Lacquered Tarnish-Resistant Copper Wire for Jewelry Making, 15 Yard, 13.72 Meter Spool (Gold)

I picked up this 26-gauge Beadsmith Wire Elements copper wire for jewelry projects, and it’s been great to work with. The lacquered finish gives it a clean, polished look and helps prevent tarnish, so pieces stay bright longer. It’s soft enough to wrap easily around beads or frames without snapping but still holds its shape once set. The color is a warm copper tone that pairs nicely with glass or gemstone beads. Durable and great value for money. The only small downside is that the coating can scratch if you use sharp pliers, so it’s best to handle it gently. Overall, it’s a reliable, smooth wire that’s perfect for detailed jewelry work, I’d happily buy it again in other colors and gauges.

Quality wire for a fantastic price. The gauge was the correct size. I use this for wire wrapping and it makes for some beautiful jewelry. I don't see my jewelry wrapped in this breaking any time soon. Very durable, yet malleable for the perfect wire wrap.

Perfect for rosaries. 22ga isn’t too stiff nor too thin. It holds shape and easily bends while keeping shape.

I was hoping that this wire was truly dead soft. I am just a crafts-person of 20 years so maybe I don't know. It's more like half-hard wire that is actually fairly stiff. It doesn't work well for wire wrapping czech glass teardrop pendants, it resists too much and I have a feeling that it will break the glass. I haven't tried it on anything else. The antique brass color is actually more of a coppery shade and doesn't match other antique brass beads and findings that I have. Maybe BeadSmith has it's own line of wire colors; not sure, but I won't be ordering other colors from them after seeing this spool. I don't feel like I can return it because when I unhooked the wire from the wire notch in the plastic spool, it sprung loose like a clock spring - and I don't think I can pull it tight like it was originally. I don't think dead soft wire springs/uncoils this much when it's loosened from the spool. It just lays there. That's what I wanted. There's nothing wrong with the wire itself if it's what you want. It's fine for what it is. Just the description was misleading.

The Beadsmith wire is my go-to. I can always trust their quality and pricing. It is tarnish-resistant, easy to use and good quality. I've used other wires but like the Beadsmith the best.

I just love this wire for more reasons than I probably have characters in a review! It bends like a dream, but also holds it's shape remarkably well. The color and shine on the wire are gorgeous and exactly as described. Size/gauge were accurate. For all the different wires I have tried for creating and crafting, this has been one of the most consistent and best value. Sure, you can find less expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. This wire holds it's color and nothing I have created has tarnished.
