Uplifting Yuzu 🍈
This is definitely a citrus essential oil, but it smells slightly more complex than other more simple, basic essential oils. It smells similar to mandarin, clementine and tangerine, and is energizing, refreshing and comforting. Yuzu was introduced and extensively grown in Japan 1,000 years ago. Yuzu is a hybrid between a couple different citrus fruits, sour mandarin and grapefruit. Yuzu E.O. comes from a small, thorny evergreen tree with dark, glossy leaves, creamy-white flowers, and large green, yellow fruit with an uneven surface. The essential oil is steam distilled from the fruit rind. It's an interesting scent, one that I believe most people would like, especially if you're familiar with the fruit or enjoy citrus. Yuzu has been used for centuries in Japan as a remedy for cold, flu and illness. People used the yuzu fruit in their bathwater, especially during the winter solstice, to ward off infections and bring a prosperity of health. It's said to help heal cold symptoms and to strengthen the immune system. In Japan and Korea, yuzu's rind, juice and fruit are used in flavoring for various foods, includomg candy, vinegars, pickles, cakes, soups and seaweed dishes. Yuzu essential oil is fantastic blended with other oils. It really goes well with so many different types, and adds an extra uplifting oomf to many recipes. Different parts of the yuzu fruit are used in beauty preparations, including the seeds, rind and essential oil. Yuzu has the following therapeutic qualities: Analgesic, antibacterial, anti-infectious, antiseptic, calmative, diuretic, nervine, sedative, stimulant, tonic. The therapeutic uses are: Nervous stomch cramp, callulite, neuralgia, influenza, colds, convalescence, stress-induced skin conditions, dull & unhealthy skin, nercous tension, nervous exhaustion, chronic fatigue; general tonic. Yuzu essential oil blends well with Clary Sage, Lavender, jasmine, may chang (love), orange, ylang ylang, rose, palmarosa, patchouli, frankincense, Basil linalol, black pepper, grapefruit, magnolia leaf, and more. Overall, Eden Garden's Yuzu Essential Oil is pretty amazing, and makes me think of Japan. They knew what they were doing! Unfortunately this 10 ml. bottle of essential oil is about $3.40 more expensive than the first bottle I purchased. I wanted to get another bottle, but the price has jumped too much now.

Rare/ quality and glad it carries this oil.
Yuzu is a hidden jem for aromatherapy and natural cosmetics. It has many healing psychological and emotional properties. I had a very hard time finding a company that would carry this oil and further more, that would ship it where I am at. The next preocupation was customs strict cirteria. Many established brand franchises have had their products retained or sent back due to lack of clear information in ingredient sources and detail. The process went so smoothly that i can only think this was not an issue and im very impressed. Now to the use of this oil. Knowing this scent from direct experience in Japan, I can say this smells exactly like original yuzu. It is not* meant to be strong and overpowering. But the complex citrus characteristics are very clear. As for its therapeutic uses I will list a few. therapeutic properties: tonic, stimulant, antibiotic ,antinfectious, antiputrescent, antiviral, antiseptic, antifungal, analgesic, sedative, calmative, nervine, antinflamatory, and diuretic. mostly used for: general tonic, antiseptic, nervous tension, stress, anxiety, cystitis, constipation, cleansing, nervous stomach cramps, neuralgia, post viral problems, convalescence, menoupase symptoms: hot flashes. hence why it is used widely in Japan for almost all skin care and Ryokan thermal bath waters. Side effects: can sensitize skin to the sun. HOWEVER*** As a photo sensitive contact dermatitis person i have not seen nor felt such an effect thus far, but this is my personal experience, use caution. How I used this and put it to the test? I made my own healing balm with shea butter, yuzu seed carrier oil and this oil. I use this as a rub instead if vic vapo rub. The menthol worsens my condition unfortunately, but this helps sedate, calm, de inflamate, along with all its beneficial properties. And it worked. I also hurt my eye by bumping it into a corner. I immediately rubbed this. Although it stang a bit, with intervals of pause and pressing on it then pausing again, a bruise never developed. I also used this for my cramps, and it helped to feel less severe pain. So for me the proof of the quality of this brand's Yuzu essential oil is there, in the effectiveness to work at what I know it is meant to work at. Amazing amazing product, will order more and more regularily and explore other products from this brand gladly.

Lovin' it!
I have bought many of Edens garden essential oils. I love them and find them to be just as good as the high end brands. If you have any doubts, please go to there website and read what they have to say. So many other companies are trying monopolize the market by saying that any EO that is affordable is not the real deal. The funny thing is, is that most of these oils are purchased from the same sources and repackaged. Give this company a chance and if you are not happy, at least you didn't lose a ton of money. Did I mention that Edens garden is a woman owned company? I just love that too (sorry guys). Anyway, back to the oils. A little goes a long long way. I have used my lavender many many times and it stills looks like I have a full bottle. My oils arrived quickly and well packaged. The French lavender smells so lovely. It goes with almost any EO recipe. It is so versatile, not to mention the healing properties it has. My picky 17 year old daughter has already confiscated my diffuser. I added a few drops each of lavender, lemongrass, neroli and Rosemary and she was hooked! I got many amazing recipes and ideas from Pinterest. My favorite one is adding a drop of this oil to a full, brand new, clear tube of mascara. The key point here is ONE drop in a brand new unopened tube! It doesn't have to be clear, it could be whatever color you want. I prefer to use my clear lavender mascara before bed. They say that adding this to your mascara will help your lashes grow longer and fuller! I have only been doing this for a few days, so I will update this to let you know how it went. Again, just one drop for the whole tube! Adding any more than one drop could irritate your eyes and you don't want to get any EO in your eyes! So, if you have any doubts please check out there website! Also, Eden's garden has some great deals on their website, not to mention that any order over $50 receives free shipping (sorry Amazon). Unfortunately, I ordered a bunch from Amazon before realizing that. Like many product reviews these days - I DID NOT RECEIVE THIS PRODUCT in exchange for my biased review ;-) . I wrote this review because I felt like it and because I believe in this company and there products!

First timer
I have never ordered essential oils before and thus do not know for 100% sure that this is great quality oil. I looked at it, and as far as I can tell it seems great but that is seriously the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I bought 4 types of essential oils from Edens Garden: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary and Lavender because my husband suffers from chronic chest and nasal congestion he's had it all his life and I'm hoping that we can help the issue without having to go to the doctor. I digress. It came very well packaged and before even attempting to open I made sure to check if any of them were leaking, which they weren't. As I opened them one by one they were all very aromatic and the oil itself felt very nice and smooth on my fingers and honestly seemed to revitalize me right away. (Especially peppermint; I LOVE peppermint haha) I was surprised because the bottles didn't have droppers in the cap, but attached to the top of the bottle itself, but the labeling is great, and the package came really quickly. I am very very satisfied with these oils and they are a great price too! Most essential oils are either heinously expensive or (if they're in the price range I'm looking for) watered down crap. These Eden's Garden oils combined the best of both worlds in my opinion. Would definitely recommend. I'll probably be coming back here myself.

Wish I'd found them years ago
I'm glad I gave these a try. I'd always used DoTerra EO's. But they're so $$$. Eden's Garden is a comparable brand with a lovely scent and not known for being full of synthetic fillers. Will be using more in the future.

I Love these oils!! great quality for an awesome price!
I am absolutely in LOVE with Edens Garden EO. I started as a YL customer but just couldn't swallow the prices anymore! I read up on these oils for more than a week before purchasing. I also wrote an e-mail to the company and basically asked them to sell me on their oils and why I should choose them over the other companies out there. I was EXTREMELY satisfied and put at ease by their response and information. These are 100% pure oils folks.. First distillation, non GMO, Organic and Affordable! The main difference between them and YL? 1) They don't own their own crops, they purchase from other growers. The plants they use are native to where they are grown and the growers they purchase from are still checked often for quality control and to ensure they are getting organic product. 2) Because they only sell direct through their website or from Amazon (no pyramid scheme) They are able to sell the oils at cost without bumping the prices to pay for additional salesmen etc.. basically, they have a lot fewer "hands to feed" than YL which makes them much more affordable. I am not bashing YL oils at all, they sell some high quality stuff! Like I said, my pocket book just couldn't handle it anymore. Now through Edens Garden, I get the same quality oil, but I can buy 3 for the price of 1 YL oil. All this information is on the EG website.. they are quick to respond to any questions and are very transparent. Don't like the oil? they have a no questions asked, money back guarantee within 30 days. A lot of people on here complain about some of the oils smelling bad?? I'm sorry.. but some of these oils are specifically for function, not necessarily fragrance. They aren't all going to smell like nectar from heaven. (and they aren't going to smell the same to everyone.. my mom thinks my rosewood oil smells like pepper, but I personally LOVE the fragrance.) it just depends on the kind of plant you're extracting the oil from. Hardly a reason to discredit the company. I now have almost 20 of their oils and have loved every one of them! Can't wait to buy more.
