These electric motors work great! They do use regular house current. The provided spring-clip wire connections seemed fine for some uses but not for me. I installed Anderson Powerpole plugs on the wires and those work well.The motor can change direction which is not what I need. Turn these off and on again and it may continue in the same direction or it will change. I have not found a consistency.

I got the product to replace a motor that was too noisy for a fiber optic Christmas tree when I took all three of them to test and I'm glad I tested them before actually installing three of three hummed when I switched them on but the shaft did not turn at all. Not much use since that was the purpose of the motors. The cords and the spring connectors were pretty neat it's a shame they weren't sold separately cuz I would have bought one or two sets but I can't keep motor that don't work. Returns were easy through Amazon. if you choose to risk purchase be sure to test before the 30 days are up

I use the 5 and 6 rpm motors in my fishing rod shop to turn the rods so they can dry. Motors do get a little warm but they work fine.
