Read about it, thought it was worth a try, liked it.
I don't even remember how I stubbled upon the Yerba Skin Brush on Amazon. I think I was looking for some mild soap and this came up as a recommended item. Recently, I had been trying to cut back substantially on the amount of soap I use to try and cure some chronic dry/itchy skin. After reading some other reviews, I was intrigued by the Yerba's exfoliating ability (a necessary thing if you're cutting back on soap, in my opinion) as well as its ability to promote healthy soft skin. The price was right so I decided why not. First off, using it for the first time was, as others have said, slightly painful. Nothing you can't just suck up but might be too much for some people. However, after a few days, either your skin gets used to it or the brush bristles soften a bit because the discomfort goes away. I use it quickly before every time I shower and it's great. I've been using it now for about two months on a consistent basis and this is what I have noticed. As far as exfoliations goes, it does a pretty decent job, especially if you use it frequently. If you were looking for something to get rid of built up dry skin (elbows, feet, etc.) this is not the brush for you and you may want to find something more gnarly. But as far as daily, light dry/dead skin removeal - it's great. Since using the Yerba, I have noticed that complexion of my skin has gotten much better. I've never had body acne or anything close to it, but I seem to occasionally get red pores, small pimples on my upper arms and back. Right now I have none, and I believe the Yerba is to thank. Also, my skin does seem to be softer and less itchy and I have rarely, if ever, had to use lotion in past two months. Possibly a coincidence, but once again I contribute it to the Yerba. If you're interested, skeptical, whatever, just give it a try. The price is right and the quality seems to be good enough that, if you like it, you could use it for a long time.

Yerba is a top quality brush
If you’re new to dry brushing you may want to work your way up to this brush, but if you’ve been brushing for awhile (I’ve been doing this on and off for over 15 years), there’s very few brushes that compare to a Yerba. My old Yerba had seen its better days so I decided to try another brush. It was ok, but the bristles weren’t stiff enough for me to feel I was getting a good skin brushing. I know a lot of people skin brush hoping to get smooth skin and eliminate cellulite from their thighs, but that’s not the reason I use it. It does give me incredibly soft skin, but my main reason for using is to help my lymphatic draining. When I was younger I would experience pain in my armpits during my monthly cycle. My breasts would also become super sensitive. My mother said that’s the way she had always been and I must have inherited that symptom. Then I read about dry brushing and it’s benefits to your lymph, including less painful armpits and breasts. So I started using a dry brush. And just like that, the pain and swelling were gone. I was hooked and continued to use it when necessary. My mother died of breast cancer 4 years ago and I made the vow to begin dry brushing regularly. She never tried dry brushing even when I told her how much it helped. Yerba is a quality brush and I highly recommend it.

Stiff bristles
Great stiff body brush. If you like stiff bristles this is the body brush for you. I use this to buff away dead skin cells especially on my legs to prevent bumps. Only critique I have is that some of the bristles tend to shed. Other than that, this is a great brush.

Not for thin skin.
I have never tried dry brushing before, but I was reading something online and it was doing a review of how great the dry brushing is and linked to this brush. I love it when they specifically tell you which one otherwise I see all the different ones and I just cannot make the decision. So this one was not too pricey, so I went for it. I will start with letting you know that this brush has some stiff bristles, these are not those soft bristle brushes that you scrub your face or back with. This brush possibly could scratch if used roughly or on someone with older or thinning skin. Maybe even some skin conditions would not like this kind of use. Be careful! Before my morning shower, I started with my feet and in circular motion went evenly up each leg and then i started with the hands and up the arms, then I hit the back and the belly. You are apparently supposed to work towards you heart. So I tried this. Well, let me tell you... my back and thighs were more sensitive than the lower legs and arms. They needed tenderness there. But the skin was nice and pink after, so I assume this helped the circulation. It feels kinda nice if you don't do it too forcefully. Note: The first time I was standing on a clean dark floor and a bit of dry skin did appear on the floor.... but luckily not so much the next time. Its a good brush. Very sturdy. Maybe a little awkward to hit some spots with the handle on. I think it is perfect for what it is intended.

I am very happy with this skin brush. I use this as part of my morning ritual and find it to be very invigorating; the bristle stimulation really wakes you up, leaving you fresh and alert, I'd say it's about equal to two cups of coffee. The bristles are from an Agave plant and are the right balance of coarseness, not too much, not too little. It's effective, yet you can't harm your skin (at least not without trying). A couple light brushes is all you need, your skin feels awake, smooth and clean. The handle is long enough that you can easily do your back. I particularly find this product useful for controlling my psoriasis (not cure, control). 8-10 light brushstrokes, which literally brush off little "clouds" of skin, allows my moisturizer creams to be more effective on the base layer. As this gently removes the top dry layer, I find the itchy sensation from psoriasis to be minimized; my skin is simply in much better condition after using this product and I highly recommend those with such skin issues give this a try. Only con (and not enough to remove a star) is that a few bristles fell out during the first couple uses, at first this concerned me thinking this would be every day, but no, only at first, they no longer fall out and now I'd never know any were even missing; so if this happens with yours, don't be alarmed. It's very effective and I believe mine will last years to come. Recommended.

Fantastica! Sperimentata oggi per la prima volta, la durezza delle setole è perfetta. Diventerà abitudine quotidiana. Tra l'altro la spazzola si può separate dal manico (è ad incastro) quindi è perfetta x massaggiare ogni parte del corpo

Nicely made and works perfectly. It feels harsh at first but I got used to it quickly and now it feels great. Leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft, and makes me feel energised.
