Any game where you can drive a hot pink El Dorado with horns on the hood through the streets of Tokyo is a good game. Yes, the AI is murderous, but if you don't throw all your cash into cosmetic cusomizations, just go-faster-better mods, then you can stay ahead of the curve. You CAN beat a stock class B car with a highly modified class D car. And you can always do non-tournament races for extra cash if you do want to make your car look absolutely disgusting. And OH, this game is for the kind of people who think City of Heroes doesn't allow enough customization. Sure, you CAN go the sane and sensible route and make some very classy rides, or you can do what I did, create a "high profile" vehicle with a paint job you can see at the bottom of a coal mine and ground effects that look like the love child of Voltron and a Jeggs catalog. Also, this game gives you the visceral FEEL of "Ohcrapohcrapwereallgoingtodie" speeds. The blur, the vibrating controller, the lights going by in flashes when you're driving down the main drag at over 200 mph...oh yeah, it does it for me in a way that few other racing games have. It's not realism, but it gives off the right vibes to trick your brain into thinking you're going way faster than is healthy. My buddy and I even had a drinking game set up that involved the high-end superbike. When you crash, you take a drink and pass the controler. It was a rough night. I do have a few problems. First of all, no AWD, because one of the major "features" of this game is burning out on the line. Subaru gets no love at all. Second, the AI is murderous, like others have mentioned, but as long as you don't take a wrong turn somewhere, you should be able to catch up, at least. Also, at the end levels, the AI doesn't care if they win, as long as you lose. This extends to mundane vehicles randomly swerving into your lane! You will grow to love the tuner set. Third, and worst, is the rather horrible "characters" you interract with in the cutscenes. Let us just say they were not attempting to further the cause of removing stereotypes from the public image. I skipped all of them. They did good this time around.

my copy failed to work and I have had to return it. but this is the best car racing game I have ever played. the driving is arcade style instead of realistic, but that makes it faster and more fun. these are open street races, so you will have to pay attention to your mini map while racing. This game is for purist racing fans. the game doesnt have much of a story. but with 90 customizable real vehicles, its not hard to get sucked in. note: most people think the game plays too fast in the highest tiers Note: this game has no fords or honda's

I was extremely excited to boot this game up as it was very reminiscent of my childhood just to be let down as the game froze over and over no matter how many times I tried restarting the console. The console didn’t seem like it wanted to play it either as it would have a hard time reading the disc. Tried on another console and had the same result. Great game, bad copy

I love this game because I played it at my friend's house but when I bought it one here it came in really scratched and would not play at all. If you are going to get this game get it brand new from Amazon or someone. The game is really fun and you get to have a huge selection of cars and motorcycles, also yo get to have noss and other awesome stuff. It is by far the best Midnight Club game out there and yes, I am also saying it is better than LA because you can actually play with your friends.

To start I've loved the Midnight Club franchise since it came out. This game fell short for me, as I played it after Midnight Club L.A. and found that one way more fun, but I loved this game nevertheless. The cars are awesome, the speed is intense, the mods are high powered, the customization is endless. If the American racing isn't enough, you have the option to go to Tokyo and fight it out with some high end wheels. So earn some money, soup up the nicest thing you got, and head over to Japan to get some foreign pink slips. This game will take you for an awesome ride.

It came in good condition, disc looks barely used. I loved this game as a kid so I had to have it again. One of the clips that hold the manual in was broke/missing but I’m not really concerned with that.

This game has been my favorite ps2 greatest hits game since it came out in 2005. I love the fact you arent stuck in a story mode the whole time, you can take the game at your own pace and have fun in the "cruise" mode. there is also a 2 player split screen feature. me and my girfriend like to race eachother on that sometimes.. Trust me this game will not dissapoint the QUANTITY of cars and the amount of customization is just INSANE. NOTHING compared to need for speed or any other racer ive played. 10/10!!

They said the quality was "Used, Very Good" and it was an understatement. This product felt brand new. Very few scratches and everything came as advertised. The manual and disk seemed untouched with no scratches!
