You Will Love This Tuner (If it Fits Your Guitar)
The D'Addario PW-CT-15 tuner is barely noticeable on my guitar, so I leave it installed for immediate use any time. It works great, because it's easy to read from the player's position and is more accurate than a headstock tuner. My guitar sounds better than ever when I use this tuner. I'm glad I wasn't scared away by the negative reviews posted by some users. Here is my take on the issues they raised: (1) Guitars come in all shapes and sizes. This will fit most, but not all. Before buying the tuner, make sure that the clip will fit on the wood around your sound hole. For example, it might be too snug if you have an extra layer of reinforcing wood around the underside of your sound hole or a thick pick guard very close to the hole. A flat area up to 6/16" from the edge of the hole and up to 2/16" thick should be fine. Some reviewers reported that the clip was too loose for them, but the current model has a metal spring that should hold the tuner in place on thinner tops. (2) Guitars also have different bracing patterns. Make sure yours has room for the tuner between the hole and the bracing. You need space for the shape of a triangle with the corners cut off about 1-3/8" wide (accross the hole) and about 3/4" deep. For example, in the Taylor line, it fits my Grand Auditorium guitar with X bracing, but it might not fit in a GS Mini or anything with V-Class bracing. [UPDATE: I got a new guitar and can confirm that it works fine on a Taylor GA with V-Class bracing if you put it in the 7:00 position instead of 6:00. You can still reach the power button and see it fine.] (3) Press the metal release tab to take the battery out without breaking the plastic tabs that also hold it in place. The manufacturer's video shows this clearly. (4) Install and remove the tuner carefully to avoid breaking the clip. This is easy to do, as shown in the manufacturer's video. For me, this is a fabulous upgrade at a very reasonable price.

Easy to see
If you haven't used one of these before, it's a great little device for tuning your guitar or other stringed instrument. This model fits inside the sound hole of your guitar and is easy to see. The built-in tuner on my guitars are in a place where it's not always the easiest to see. This has solved the problem.

Unobtrusive and Works very well
There are a lot of very good digital guitar tuners now, but I always thought most of them made a fine looking guitar really ugly when the tuners were clamped on the peghead. This one slips into the sound hole, and is visible from just underneath the sound hole's lip. Its ver easy to see when playing the guitar, and so unobtrusive an onlooker wouldn't even notice it at all. The little control buttons have to be pushed with the thumb, but they're easy to find and easy to work. The device sets snugly on some small silicone pads that protect the finish, and requires a practice try to learn how to put it on and take it off, but once you learn it, it's easy. An it's very secure when installed. Another nice touch is the battery can be removed and replaced easily while the tuner is installed. The manufacturer recommends removing it when a guitar will be stored for a long time, but can stay put under normal use. I really like it. The tuning is fast and accurate with no jitters. The display is always shaded by the placement, so it's always brightly seen, and it keeps my old guitar looking as elegant and handsome as ever. I'll probably buy a couple more of them for some other guitars. This is an item that is designed solely for acoustic guitars or other acoustic instruments with a round sound hole. They won't work on a solid body or a guitar with F-holes. But it should fit any guitar that has one; it's quite small.

Good but not durable
The tuner works fine and provides the option to change the tuning frequency/pitch. Tuning is very easy and straightforward. I keep it in my guitar sound hole and is small enough to not affect playability and is not noticeable. The reason I deducted one star is because mine stopped working after just over a year so its durability is suspect.

Not for Certain Ukuleles
First of all, these are the most accurate tuners I've ever owned. You CLEARLY know when you're in exact tune. Most inexpensive tuners go into the green in-tune mode well above and/or below the proper pitch. If you're thinking of one of these for a ukulele, be aware than even though this thing is small, it may not fit into some ukulele sound holes. If the body of the uke is made of thin material, when you press to turn the tuner on, it may rotate and drop down into the body. It clamps to the inside of the sound hole, and as with all spring clamps, the thicker the material being clamped, the better the clamp works. A thin plastic uke (and plastic ukes have come a long way, so I'm not cutting them here :-) will probably not hold the tuner properly. Also, if the sound hole is very small or oddly shaped, this really small tuner will not fit through the sound hole. It definitely did not fit a Mahalo smiley face uke :-) The tuner clips onto the edge of the sound hole where you can see the readout by looking down into the sound hole (with the instrument in playing position). You turn it on by pressing one side of the tuner (the other side allows you to change the tuning spec from A 440). It stays on for 10 minutes. I think that's too long and wish it would turn off after less than 5 minutes. Even though it's very small, the readout is easy to see. It fits Makala soprano ukes, the tuner is too large to fit directly at the bottom of the sound hole when in playing position. That's because of the small distance from the sound hole and the wall of the body. But it's still easily viewable. It also fits a Kala the same way. It should be no problem fitting larger body ukes (and of course guitars). I happy that I don't have to keep track of a clamp on tuner any longer :-)

Nice little tuner
Great for live performances, the audience won’t see it, and it gets the job done.

Nice and discreet. It will make you look like as if you are tuning by ear. lol Quick and precise tuning. The only nitpick I can think of is, it's not so tightly clamped to your soundhole and you might accidentally flick it off while strumming hard.

I purchased this item with my own money and have not been provided with any incentives to provide this review. This is my favourite tuner, its sleek, accurate and easy to use. Hardest part is placing it inside the sound hole of the guitar. Good value for money, battery lasts well, is easy to see and use and allows you to look at the specific string and see where adjustments are required unlinke many other tuners that are either clipped onto headstocks or connected via amps etc. Makes a great gift for any acoustic guitar player or a great addition to your kit to replace an old tuner.
